Yo Paul, I just wanted to give you plenty of notice so you can get a sitter or whatever. This one's going to be awesome.

Yeah, I kept the OB-8, and now I'm glad I did. I figured out that if you never auto-tune it, it starts to get nice and gritty - I've got some sweet unison bass pads on there now.

I ditched the Mackie LM3204 for a FireFace 800, in order to lighten up my rack requirements. The FF800 was supposed to be MIDI-controllable, which it is, but not enough to really turn it into a patchbay matrix like I wanted.

I got MAX/MSP, though, and figured out how to do what I want using ASIO commands, so now I have a 12x10 I/O matrix/mixer. I couldn't find a suitable MIDI controller that would allow me to control it, however, so I broke down and got a Lemur. This all took me like two months to get configured, but now it's working pretty well.

I installed a Synhouse MIDI retrofit into my Pro-One last weekend, but I think it must have been faulty because it worked for a day and then smoked. Hopefully it was just the MIDI deal, though, because I want to get some step sequencing happening with that bad boy. Makes me wonder if I even want to attempt putting the MIDI kit into my 808.

I just checked out your website. You're crazy, dude, and I want one of those machinedrums. I've got big changes underway at the highly-outdated, newly-relocated Armatron Sound Lab.

Forget The Monome. Just build your own MIDI controller, like the guy from monolake.

You've probably seen this. I don't care. It's news to me.

The handheld NES!

The handheld Atari 2600!

Ben Heck, the guy who made these abominations/improvements is even writing a book so that you too can take your h2X0ring skills to the next level.

Live 6 has been announced.

There's supposedly a public beta test to be set into motion at the end of July. You have to sign up for the newsletter first, though, to get that information.
