I like to have movie nights where we watch stupid old movies and make fun of them like a bunch of hipsters. So ironic. Sometimes we watch serious movies, but it's not as much fun. My own inclinations tend toward spaceships, kung fu and barbarian swordsmen.
Television
I own one now, for the first time in many years, but I forget to even watch movies on it. I'm making a half-hearted effort at Battlestar Galactica. I like it, but I don't have the dedication of a committed TV watcher.
Books
Things I can always pick up: Joy of Cooking, Leaves of Grass, Turtle Island, the Principia Discordia (and others of much ilk), Burning Chrome, Lao Tsu always, Chuang Tsu sometimes, TAZ. If I had A Sand County Almanac, it would be here. I always own a copy of Walden, but I rarely pick it up.
Reading now (7/08): The Greek Alexander Romance, the Norse Atlantic Saga, and A Handful of Zen by Camden Benares.
Magazines: Scientific American and The Nation, which I'm probably going to drop for The Economist.
Also, internets.
Heroes
The first two heroes I can remember having were Harriet Tubman and Evel Knievil. I'm currently a fanboy for the Sea Shepherd Society.
All seems beautiful to me,
I can repeat over to men and women You have done such good to me I would do the same to you,
I will recruit for myself and you as I go,
I will scatter myself among men and women as I go,
I will toss a new gladness and roughness among them,
Whoever denies me it shall not trouble me,
Whoever accepts me he or she shall be blessed, and shall bless me.

Who I'd like to meet: People who crawl through the cracks or hide in plain sight. Drifters and psychogeographers. Post-discordians. Hitchhikers and road trippers. People on bikes.
Just a quick shout out to my Portlandish peeps to say that we'll be going out to the Portland Saturday Market tomorrow, June 6th - we'll be near the MAX line behind the corn-dog/lemonaide stand -
We will be mostly bringing books, comics and select ethnobotanicals - very little art - if anyone wants anything in particular - or any art from our R6XX artists - please let me know in advance!
Wishing everyone a sunny weekend!!
