Phoenix Quarter are currently working on their highly anticipated follow-up to their debut EP due this March. Currently untitled, the LP's 17 tracks will feature the likes or Sir Smurf Little (YNR Records) Big Cakes (Stuff Records Inc), Orifice (Foreign Beggars/Dented Records) & SuparNovar (Flip Tha Skript).
Phoenix Quarter consists of seven core members. Three beatmakers/producers; Budapest, Slopp'e'Styles & Beau. Four MCs; Slim-Si, Jack da Lad, K.w. Armes and DPUTS. After having been together for little under 9 months, the collaborative released their debut EP, also available for free download.
"Listening to it is a breath of fresh air" - Mr Scaramanga. "Keep your eyes peeled and ears pricked up! These are the ones to watch." - James Lewis, BBC "No one is playing Phoenix Quarter or Sir Smurf Little or even bloody Phoenix Quarter featuring Sir Smurf Little. Thats my thing; finding new acts, fresh talent and bringing it to the masses like I did with Sway." - DJ Excalibah
With their own studio dubbed 'The Nest', the boys have a hub for their operation. With the release of their debut EP and having performed along side artists such as Skinnyman and Klashenekoff, 2005 was a big opening year for the Phoenix Quarter. 2006 has seen the Phoenix Quarter buried in the studio, formulating an album that will shake the roof off your grans house, but also performing some exclusive nights alongside Jehst & SuperNova.
