First Friday has taken place every first Friday since May 2004. First Friday happens rain or shine. Normally in a no rain scenario there is outdoor music. Rules of first friday dictate that it is raining at 6 there will be no outdoor entertainment. If it is not raining then it will go on until it rains....if it rains. But there is stuff inside...especially during the winter. One time in February it was 65 degress and we had outdoor music. One time in September when the Governor was going to come we had to call it at noon...the Hotline for first friday is 484 880 1530.

People come down to meet and talk each first friday. Some say it has spawned into a singles meeting place that is not Alcohol based. The Phoenix Village Art Center Community gallary has wine and cheese each month at the opening. P J Ryans, Pickering Creek Inn, Molly Maguire's, Iron Hill and the Columbia are perfect for bar hopping...Moon Saloon was bigger hop but that hop got shorter with the opening of molly macguires at bridge and main....Wolfgang Books normally is a nice meeting place for those so inclined and normally does a late night or all night during First Friday, Diving Cat Sudio sometime has glasswork demos in the window.
