MONOCEROS "REVERSE IT" |

Joan Malé is Monoceros and this is his debut single on the PhonoBox label. Presenting an EP with 4 tracks on Side A and 4 tracks on Side B which are exactly the same but reversed. The tracks and rhythms were designed to be played in both directions without any post-production. The music follows the roots of his debut album "When i was a child i wanted to be an astronaut" (Expanding Records - uk 2005) but with more simple rhythms and with the use of acoustic guitar which is an advance of what this artist is planning on his upcoming works. PILOTE "TWO CHORDS WONDER EP" |

Stuart Cullen aka Pilote is back after 3 years with a brand new EP including one amazing track written and recorded during his short stay in a very small villa outside of Barcelona. Pilote released his first album "Antenna" in 1999 on Certificate18 label and 2 years later his second album "DoItNowMan" that was also licensed to Domino (USA) with a very good press feedback. Year 2002 saw his last release on the Certificate 18 imprint "Kingfood" and one of the tracks "Turtle" appeared in a Cell Phone TV campaign. Some of his tracks have been licensed for different CD compilations on labels like Ministry Of Sound, Sublime Records, React, Inspired Recordings, Tru Thoughts...and a few CD covermagazines as Muzik, Wire, M8, Trax... He has finished his brand new album "Pop will Make Us Free" and will be released in 2007 by Exalt Records. Phonobox002 contains the following tracks: Camerera- The original Two Chord Wonder, the closest he has ever come to finding that perfect mix of beauty and funk.This was his peronal favourite track from the "Pop will Make Us Free" album, but he just couldn't make it fit into the overall scheme of the album. Also, one of the first tracks he ever wrote in Spain. Two Chord Wonder- It´s one of the most accessible Pilote tracks ever, almost house! Again, just a simple pop track, no messing about..... Kratez(sic)- Originally released as a download only on SC;Digital Recordings, this is a bit more of an epic than the other two, and it is all about the rhythm....Pilote made the drums largely by hitting tea crates (hence the title!)...this is a bit of a cheat because there´s more than two chords, but the simplicity of it fits in with the overall scheme of the EP..... |
