PHONOMIK is an upcoming rock/metal band from Denmark, which can be described as a mix between Metallica and Disturbed. PHONOMIK's music is a powerful mix of old-school rock and new-metal. The band has just finished their debut album at the legendary Jacob Hansen studios in Denmark. It is called "Soul Creeper" which refers to the ancient beast that dwells deep inside the human soul.

PHONOMIK was founded by Michael (bass), Shane (vocal / guitar) and Kenneth (guitar) in the summer of 2006 - all residents of the southern part of Denmark. They had a common dream of reaching out to the masses through music. Their ambition and talent was not to be mistaken. They quickly became aware of each other's skills and professionalism and they soon recognized the band's immense potential. These qualities provide the solid foundation that drives PHONOMIK even today. Around New Year 2006/07 the band recorded their first demo with Kruger (drums) under the name PHON. The EP consisted of two songs written by Shane. Already 6 months later, they started recording their debut album "Soul Creeper". During the recording, they became aware of the benefits of having a unique band name. They extended the PHON, which is a synonym for decibels, with MIK which has a powering effect of a word. And PHONOMIK was baptized. Kruger played drums in the band until February 2010 where he was replaced by Rune after a unanimous decision. PHONOMIK have financed all of their projects on their own which categorizes them as "independent" artists. This means they can set a course of no compromise for their musical endeavors. But they also face the risk of running into the countless dead ends in the music industry. Unfortunately this occurred several times through failed agreements with unfortunate working partners. The consequence has been that the band was forced to postpone their world-wide-release of their debut album Soul Creeper to March 2010. However the tide has been running high and the band's reputation precedes them. PHONOMIKs upcoming album, which is scheduled for late summer 2010, is already anticipated by many with great interest.

Diversity and experience, and most of all passion make PHONOMIK's music vivid and intense. The style is a culmination of timeless and classic rock. Melodic integrity and hard rocking riffs play in favor for PHONOMIK's unique sound. The renaissance meets 2000 with the primal scream of a caveman. Appealing to the human emotions PHONOMIK's music scales love and hate. Grinding the edge and border lining rock and metal PHONOMIK is an experience of profound art and lyrical poetry dating back to the origin of emotion, recognizable and real as every second just past. Inspired by and honoring the great hero's of rock, PHONOMIK wishes to contribute to the universal art of music by standing on the shoulders of giants.

"Soul Creeper" takes exit point back to when Jesus hung on the cross, but this story is about the thieves who hung beside Jesus and cried, "If you are the Son of God, you must get us down from here." Then Jesus died and sped up to heaven. But, the soul of our dear friend of thieves joined the slip stream, and was caught in the nothingness. Now he is a Soul Creeper who has to live by others' souls, and is sentenced to a total of eternity. Soul Creeper refers to the ancient beast that dwells deep inside the human soul, or the whispers that takes us to dark places.

Since the release of Soul Creeper, PHONOMIK have been receiving a lot of positive reviews worldwide, including airplay on Bruce Dickinson's radio show, and they did extensive touring to support the album. Concerts in 2010 included Latvia, Germany and a tour in Denmark together with band Chainfist, where new fans were gained at every gig. By the end of 2010, the writing for the new album began. In 2011 PHONOMIK commence touring to support Soul Creeper, including gigs with Danish rock mastodons D-A-D - RAGE - a Baltic tour in August and several festival jobs throughout the summer. PHONOMIK will start tracking drums for the new album in July and record the rest during the fall. An album very much anticipated and expected to be released in late 2011 or early 2012!.......
