Buddha's a help, promises ordinary mind no nirvana -- coffee, alcohol, cocaine, mushrooms, marijuana, laughing gas? Nope, too heavy for this lightness lifts the brain into blue sky at May dawn when birds start singing on East 12th street -- Where does it come from, where does it go forever?

This Feb 18, 1969 file photo shows Dutch photographer Hugh Van Es in a Macao cafe. Van Es, a photojournalist who covered the Vietnam War and recorded the most famous image of the fall of Saigon in 1975 _ a group of people scaling a ladder to a CIA helicopter on a rooftop, died Friday morning May 15, 2009. He was 67. "Obviously he will be always remembered as one of the great witnesses of one of the great dramas in the second half of the 20th century," said Ernst Herb, president of Hong Kong's Foreign Correspondent Club.
