I despise the neo-fascist fool who is currently in the White House. Terrorists may kill people - but the Big Brother laws courtesy of George W. Bush and friends are the real threat to our freedom. Hillary Clinton is just as phony as King W in one sad way - they are both wind-up platitude dispensers. Just twist that little key in their back a few times and both of them strut around spouting endless noble-sounding hot air.

I commend the incredible courage, dedication and sacrifice of the men and women in the American armed forces. I condemn the arrogance and deceit of our political "leadership" for putting those brave men and women in harms way in Iraq without any intelligent plan for what came next. Bush now claims that he just wants us to listen to the generals, yet he himself blatantly ignored the pre-invasion advice of the top general in the United States Army!! Then Chief of Staff Gen. Eric Shinseki recommended using a much larger force to properly secure all of Iraq after the invasion. W's pet rock at the Pentagon, Rumsfeld, was allowed to ridicule the general's recommendation! Then, four years later came the surge, as in, "OOPS, we need more troops!" Now, more than five years after the invasion, King George the Pious says that "we are learning as we go." Wow. If Bush and his clown circus of yes-men weren't so determined to ignore history and any facts that didn't fit their plans, we wouldn't be five years and four thousand American lives into the process just to re-learn the same old lessons.

I believe in God, but I am often dismayed at the prejudiced, vindictive attitude of some of His right-wing followers. Christ must cry as He witnesses the gay bashing and immigrant bashing that some dare to do in His name. I believe that God intended for us to focus on "The least among you shall be first." Those who focus on condemnation and persecution resemble the arrogance and hypocrisy of Old Testament Pharisees, or the High Priest Caiaphas - not the redeeming love of Jesus. If any person or group is especially guilty in God's eyes, then God will handle it in His own time. There is no need for the self-appointed Morals Police to put themselves in His place.

The Bush gang's deceit and arrogance on Iraq, now that was immoral. But the ultimate morality issue lays in the conservatives' UN-Christlike and immoral favor-the-rich economic policies. American "leaders" and American companies sourcing so many once-American jobs overseas - immoral. A system that leaves millions of hard-working people, with full-time jobs, below the poverty line - now that is truly immoral.
