Formed in early 2004 as 4 piece Indie Rock pop band, photobooth released 3 EP's, each one becoming stronger as the band grew in confidence. A track from the first eponymous EP (falling all over) was featured in the film "20,000 little reasons" by Andy Wilton which was showcased to a packed audience at the "Tyneside Cinema" - Newcastle.
Andy became a fan of the band and later produced the bands debut music video taken from the 2nd Ep, which was also the title track "a million miles of string".
Going from strength to strength, each time pushing the ability of each musician and keeping the sound of photobooth alive the band recorded their 3rd and final EP as a 4 piece. Once again the sound evolved to new heights and really showed what photobooth were capable of.
"More interesting" is certainly the catchphrase for the band at the moment, wiht new songs being written with more freedom and passion and less compromising to try and make them more listener friendly. The result is that songs are probably going to be a bit more like marmite to our audiences ... love it or hate it, it will be more interesting.
Further musical appearances on the BIG screen on Andy Wilton's next film "Behind the scenes of Total Hell" so watch this space!!!!
An album is still in development, but recent changes in line-up will result in time being spent to incorporate new ideas from new band members.
