Jeez you really want me to name my favourite bands? We'd be here for the next 5 years! Thrash, Black Metal, Death Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Doom, Power Metal, Traditional, Gothic, Viking Metal, Bluegrass, Country, Swing, Big Band, Oldies, Modern Rock and so on. And give me anything from the 80s and I'm happy! I'm just one of those weird metalheads who doesn't like only metal. I have a very large music collection - about 5000 cds, 1700 cassettes and 900 lps.

Journalist/photographer/editor for www.photomistress.com, but really I'm a normal person I swear! (see the "banner" above to click into my website) I've been doing photography for the last 25 years, 18 of which have also included band photography. I have also been promoting bands for the last 20 years. I love to promote bands that I like, doesn't matter if they are unsigned or signed, as long as it's something I love. I dedicate the majority of my time to this as well. Besides music, photography is my passion, whether it's of bands or scenery or trees or waterfalls or whatever else grabs my eye. I absolutely LOVE to travel all over the place - new places means new photos and also new cultures to learn about. At one time or another I was pretty much fluent in Japanese and Spanish and somewhat conversational in German. I'm a bit rusty now but a bit of review of them would probably get me back in the game again. ;) At some point in my life I'd like to be an interpreter. I like going shooting with my dad at the ranges. I also LOVE watching BULLRIDING!!!!! Do not call me when I am watching it, I will not answer my phone. Oh and by the way, the photo in the background of my profile is one I took of Covan of Decapitated when they played in Orangevale, CA in September of 2006. Get well soon, my dear friend!
Below is a traditional folk song I learned in 5th grade. It is a very beautiful yet haunting song that I will never forget how to sing. The lyrics are very much what I feel in my own life. It's strange how lyrics, written probably 200 years ago, is still very much relevant today. I guess the basics of life really aren't so different.
WAYFARING STRANGER
I'm just a poor, wayfaring stranger
Traveling through this world of woe
And there's no danger, no toil or struggle
In that fair land to which I go
I'm going there to seek my fortunes
I'm going there no more to roam
I'm just a-goin' across the mountains
I'm going there, I'm going home
I seek dark clouds will gather 'round me
I know my way is rough and steep
But still I'll search this whole world over
Until I find these dreams I seek
I'm going there to seek my fortunes
I'm going there no more to roam
I'm just a-goin' across the mountains
I'm going there, I'm going home
I'm going there..... I'm going home.
"You ask me where I get my ideas, that I cannot tell you with certainty; they come unsummoned, directly, indirectly -I could seize them with my hands - out in the open air; in the woods, while walking; in the silence of the night; early in the morning, incited by moods, which are translated by the poet into words, by me, into tones that sound and roar and storm about me until I have set them down in notes."
Ludwig Van Beethoven
This quote sounds like me to a tee, though I don't WRITE music, I just LISTEN to it at that point. But the whole thing about where my ideas come from and everything is exactly right for me. Love it!
VISITORS TO MY PROFILE, BY COUNTRY:
HORRORSCOPE - EVOKING DEMONS (live)
Kimle tanışmak isterim: Wait a minute... who haven't I met yet that I would like to? Hmmmm, Finntroll (wait, now met 'em on Oct 4, 2007, woot! Thanks Erin)... Keith Urban... Jeff Scott Soto (wait, now met him on Sept 25, 2007, woot! Thanks Kyle)... Adriano Moraes... okay I'm at a loss. I'll add more later. :p Ohhhhhhhhhhh you mean who would I like to meet on HERE?! Why the hell didn't you say so! I'd still like to meet the above mentioned. :p
But seriously (is that possible?!), anyone who loves death/melodic death/thrash/power/progressive/doom/traditional/viking metal, hard/heavy rock music, 80s bands, modern rock, classic rock, people who love concerts, love traveling and/or love photography. People who like to promote bands, as I do myself. I just love meeting people so I can learn about their heritages and be exposed to things that I may not see in my own life.
