Phrekwenci (Donnie D'Amato) is well known in the international Dance Dance Revolution community for many aspects of the game. He started playing DDR in February 2002 and became an active member of the Long Island community. Throughout that first year, he began entering Freestyle tournaments. He won his first large competition in Decemeber 2002 at Sportsworld. The video of his performance is here:
After becoming known for DDR, he then continued to serve as a guru toward the then small fan-base of the DDR simulator "Dance With Intensity". This was a computer simulator of the DDR game for keyboard use. The staff members of www.ddrfreak.com noticed the increasing interest of this topic, and created a forum for it on their website. Phrekwenci was then promoted to Moderator of that forum, and later a global moderator of the site.
As the years past and the mixes of the game continued, Phrekwenci persued to help the community. He now strives to make the game bigger than life. His goal is to create the game into a full-blown sport. Equipped with a vast media presence and public following.
Phrekwenci has appeared on the CBS Morning Show, Fox NEWS, and several other media events pertaining to DDR in New York City and surrounding areas. He just finished producing the DDR tournament at DigitalLife, which he has coordinated since the event's beginning 3 years ago. Here's a video of his exhibition from that weekend:
Who I'd like to meet: People interested in learning how to play DDR, players interested in making the game better perceived to the public and media production associates with a genuine goal in a similar light.

PREK! It's great meeting you yesterday at Dave and Busters in Farmingdale... and I wanted to say, your talent and your commitment to DDR is astounishing! I felt embarrassed to introduce you to my coworkers about your display in talent on Freestyling, but I'm glad you pulled it off so my coworkers would recognize the kind of talent you achieved. You are the person I admire, and I hope to do freestyling as much as possible. You went beyond from just concentrating on a DDR pad, you went and be creative, and that's what I find surprising how committed you are in the game (not just singles, but doubles!). You are certainly one of the best I've seen, so keep it up man... and when you ever stop by to D&B, I'll buy you a drink... l8er man
