I'm currently recording and playing with Ramblin Rose
Blue Angel Bluegrass Band hasn't been doing much since I moved back to Montana and Victoria lives in Florida. However, we still love to make music together and hope to have an opportunity for a musical reunion someday...
Influences
Pennie & Billy (kiddos), Lou & Ruby (parents), the rest of my amazing extended family
Maybelle Carter, Ricky Skaggs, The Whites, Emmylou, Hazel Dickens, Jerry Douglas, Sally VanMeter, Dolly Parton, Laurie Lewis
Last but not least the wide open big skies of Montana
I play in the acoustic honkabilly band Ramblin' Rose, which consists of Curtis Rathburn and me as a duo and adding Alex Ruiz, Rick Ryan and Jeff Campfield as a full bluegrass bland.
On Jan 22, 2008, my life took a sad turn when I lost my son, pro extreme skier, Billy Poole. Billy died while taking one of his signature death defying lines on an extreme skiing run while being filmed for a Warren Miller film. My heart wrenched when Billy died. But, I have learned that this is not the end of my life on earth. I'm comforted by Billy's wonderful spirit and love. He reminds me to "Think Positive, Mom!" I was blessed with Billy in my life for 28 years and grateful for him for all eternity.
Check out the Billy Poole Memorial Fund which memorializes Billy through support of outdoor programs for kids. Helping to fight "nature deficit disorder"!
