My musical interest extends to playing many instruments over the years at different levels; Guitar, Sax, Trumpet, Banjo, Sitar and Flute. I have now settled down to singing and playing V-Drums and flute in an amateur rock band called Igneous Blue.
I like everything from Old English folk, to Classical, but most of the collection is soft to firm rock. Pink Floyd, Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Phil collins, Crede and Evanescence are all in there.
Oh, and the kit is great. Your son would like it because it can sound like any type of acoustic kit, ancient and modern, or electronic. You would like it because he can practice with headphones on!

Yeah the gig scene can be a bit of a challenge sometimes, especially the marketing side.
We're trying to make more electronic sounding music like Radiohead's Kid A. We were trying to build grooves using software but an electronic kit would be awesome too.
Haha, there's already a band called Ataxia. I loved the old name too however the name change sort of symbolised some other changes. We got our old drummer back so our live shows have improved and the songs sound like the record. We're playing a show at The Excelsior on Saturday 27th September if you're in town and free that night. It will probably be one of our last shows/the last show we play in Australia as Maryn and I are moving to England early next year and the band isnt working so well here.
