.... ...... .. I’m 20, and busy working towards supporting myself as a musician. I love to pick, and enjoy meeting people, as well as seeing new things! So at least for now, performance seems to be the way I’m headed… .... I’m currently with a young band out of Canada, the Abrams Brothers. There’s a lot of changes coming for the band! They’ve made the decision to make the jump to full-time, and “busy” is going to take on a whole new meaning for me! .. The band is headed off by brothers John and James, as well as their cousin Eli Abrams…I’m having a blast making music with these guys! The level of musicianship is high, and down-right CHALLENGING at times! I’m really loving it! =) I have learned SO much already, that I never knew about music, and just performing, and being professional in general! And each day that goes by, I realize just how much more I have to learn yet! I’m excited by every new experience….... I owe much of who I already was as a musician, and even much of who I am as a person, to two bands….Blue Lightning was a band I started with my good friends the Winters, when I was about 14/15 years old. We had so many great times (and quite a few good gigs, actually…=)) together, and I will always cherish those years of my life spent making music with those guys!!! I’m blessed to still make it out now and then for a “movie” night with the family…which usually means, “eat a TON of food, watch 2 or 3 RIDICULOUS movies that make your sides hurt from laughing, and stay up WAY tttOOOO late just being a nut!!!” These guys are as close to having brothers as I’ve found…they…..understand me…lol!!! =D .... When I was sixteen, I joined NY’s long-running, well loved bluegrass group, Delaney Brothers Bluegrass. (I seem to have this need for a “family environment” in my music…=D) WOW. You want to talk about shocked! I knew that this was a real turning point for me musically!!! As far as local talent goes, these guys are my heroes!!! I was such a mess going to audition, I forgot my banjo picks!!! LOL!!! .... The Delaneys not only made me a part of their band, but in the three years I was with them, made me feel like family!!! They taught me SO incredibly much about taking my performance level higher, and really shaped my abilities to step on stage with my mind clear, and my hands ready to make music from the very first note played. I am absolutely thankful for their positive insight, and influence on me… ....As of late, I have also been branching out on my own, and had my first solo show this September. I enjoyed it immensely, and am hoping to pursue this new aspect of my music further. .... Another new thing for me has been teaching. I've picked up a few students, and I'm hoping to expand in this area as well....... Not only have I had much change musically, but something HUGE has happened to me in this past year…I met the girl of my dreams!!! =D Ok, let me rephrase…it’s more like, she’s mine now. =) I’ve known Elizabeth for well…about ten years I guess! Not real well, but we have spent some time together…all I know is, I’ve never been involved with girls at ALL! I’ve always thought I would just wait till I had everything all set (house, income, all that stuff, etc…), and then WHAM!!! I would just find “the one”, court her, marry…and that would be that! Wellllll….WHAM!!! I found her a little sooner than I planned! =D So I’m just like any other 19-year-old guy with a girlfriend, just learning how to respect her feelings and all….but I’ve got it a little better than other guys, in one way…I’VE found the perfect girl!!! =) (I had to say that in case she ever reads this! ;-D LOL…) ..I seriously am blessed though, to have a girl with as much love for the Lord as Elizabeth has! She greatly inspires me....... My goals in life are pretty well summed up like this: .. That I would give ALL the glory to God, in ALL that I do, and never take any for myself! He has blessed me too incredibly, for me to even believe for a MOMENT, that I am anything without Him!!! My talents, my family, my very existence…it ALL comes from the Lord Jesus!!!! .... That I can support myself and a family someday, through music! I really just have a passion for it…..

Well, for now I'm the only one playing on these recordings here...but they're getting kind of old, and aren't the greatest quality (a Tascam only does so much...=)). I'm hoping to work on a solo album, possibly next winter....... In case you're wondering, that's my sister Angela singing harmony on "Only In My Mind"...
