Sarah Bays plays the upright bass and is a vocalist with a wide range. She is a KState graduate, a music teacher, wife to Gus and caretaker of her dogs Stella and Bow, along with her chickens, turtles, lizards, crawdads and ducks.
Olathe native Melissa Tastove sings, plays djembe, shakers and the washboard in the band and is a master of the Magic Genie. She and her husband Cody now live in Cottonwood Falls with their sweet little heeler, Maple. She is also an accomplished seamstress and gourmet chef.
Elexa Dawson writes music, sings and plays the guitar. An OK native, she and her daughter Carli moved to Cottonwood in 2005 after meeting a blonde-haired-KS hippie on the streets of the Pecan Grove. She loves her dogs Betty and Al and having friends over to cook for.
The setlist includes originals by Lexy and covers. Three-part harmonies and dynamic arrangements are all a part of their schtick. Contact us to book a special event.
"Elexa Dawson writes home-spun tales of warmth and soul; pure, simple, beautiful. Music that's stirring yet peaceful; tasty like a cold beer." Matt Watt
"Lexy's songs are like organic fruit: pure, powerful and sweet." Jason Gordon

The Skirts were in my dreams the other night. I haven't even seen you yet and I'm already dreamin' about ya. You were recording a professional CD in a old cathedral. Miss ya'll. Love. Love. Love.
Loved me some Skirt action at Acoustic Vacay! Great to see some beautiful women rock some killer harmonies! Hopefully I will get to hear more sometime soon!
