Currently Kilbey, Slim Shaney, Barry Trill and Sweetpea Ibbotson on drums, guitars, bass and vocals. Frequently concurrently, and with slightly surprised guests on tambourine, depending on who's about and/or cheap.

Picturehouse (formerly known as The Originals, and then when there turned out to be a band already of that name, The New Originals) first grew out of the wreckage left by the dissolution of early-noughties Beatles-specialist pioneers The Star Club, and originally featured three-quarters of the lineup which opened the decade with a memorable sold-out farewell gig at The Manor Ballroom, The Don'tFearTheReaperbahn, in Ipswich - Stig, Barry and Dirk.
Setting out on a mission to entertain, educate and inform with their mix of classic covers, lost gems and forgotten relics (not unlike the current lineup itself) the entertaining, erudite and increasingly infirm Picturehouse have garnered such plaudits as “…like listening to Radio Two” and “The Marks and Spencer of covers bands” – stirring testimonials, I trust you’ll agree!
The current lineup of Barry Trill, Frisky Pat, Kilbey Mears and Slim Shaney have been augmented in the past not only by former band members, welcome guests, some of the band’s children and passing members of the audience but occasionally local journalists (see ‘videos’ for evidence), while the guitar-centric foursome gather themselves quietly together before unleashing a veritable smorgasbord of chart-bothering choruses, a banquet of anthemic rock and an open sandwich of harmony-laden power pop, followed by a dessert of seventies bubblegum and perhaps some after dinner mints and a nice Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
Picturehouse – there when they invented the encore.
