PictureMeFree has two goals:
1.Make People Dance
2. Do it with One Love music.
We believe that music can improve people’s happiness and lives.
By “One Love music,” we don’t mean reggae music. One love music is music with lyrics focused on a “one love” mentality. Some of our favorite bands were able to fuse dance beats and great melodies to songs that inspired thought and self reflection. Bob Marley, Bob Dylan, The Dead, Pink Floyd, U2, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zepplin, Janis Joplin, The Allman Brothers etc., etc... were all able to do this. Though we may never come close to making music like our idols, we still believe that One Love music needs to be heard and is therefore worth pursuing. We hope you will find our beats dance-worthy, our melodies memorable, and our lyrics inspiring. We love you for listening~ Your friends, PictureMeFREE
What people are saying about the band:
"And while I was there to cover this historic band (Blues Traveler), the opening act, a local band called PictureMeFree, blew me away. With reggae, rock, jam band and even urban influences, PMF brought together a mixture of music that could not possibly let the crowd sit still. They certainly have the talent and ability to become a major force...Hopefully we will be hearing more from them in the future." - Victor Alfieri, Chicks with Guns Magazine Los Angeles, CA
"PictureMeFree rocks the house and brings entertainment to a new level"- The Tiger Newspaper
"Hookah-ready hooks...Allman (Brothers) meets (Red Hot) Chili Peppers dynamics...cleverly arranged tunes straddling rock and jam sounds, a la My Morning Jacket"- Matt Wake, Greenville MetroMix and Link Entertainment writer
"Picture Me Free is one of the most amazing young bands I've ever seen. Their originals are on the Bob Dylan Neil Young level. I've been around a lonnnnng time, and these kids are going to be Led Zeppelin big one day! Thanks for the good tunes; keep on rockin'!!"- Music Luvr, topix.com
REVIEWS FROM ITUNES.COM; Fans who purchased the CD through Itunes' site
"I absolutely love it! Most bands either sound good in the studio or on stage, but these guys are some of the lucky few that sound wonderful regardless of the size of the speakers their music is flowing through. Everyone brings something amazing to the sound, and I think it'll only get better from here on out. PictureMeFree has been a blessing to the local music scene, and will be a force to be reckoned with in bigger cities, too. This record is a great way to get to know their sound, but it only scratches the surface of just how much these boys are capable of. The talent in this group is outstanding, and I can't wait to see where they go from here :-)" -thatkid
"Their CD is great! But, if you get a chance to see them live, you should because it sounds even better than the CD- and that's hard to say with most bands." -pmffan
"these guys are great, seriously even though the album is only 5 songs, ive listened to it like 30 times already. amazing music, i cant wait to see them live - hope they put some more material on itunes soon" - tobyKEITH
