Il débute par le piano à l’âge de 6 ans avec Claude Crausaz (pianiste et organiste virtuose) et continuera pendant dix ans. C’est à 15 ans qu’il commence la basse en autodidacte, puis il passe rapidement à la contrebasse.
Il perfectionne ensuite ses connaissances avec Pierre-André Dougoud et Dominique Molliat puis, en 1996, il entre à L’ETM à Genève en section professionnelle d’où il sortira diplômé en 1999. La même année, il entre à la Haute école des Arts de Berne (anciennement Swiss Jazz School) dont il sort diplômé avec les spécialisations en performance et enseignement instrumentale en 2006. De même il suit de nombreux stages et séminaires en Suisse et à l’étranger avec des gens tels que Alain Caron, Stuart Hamm, Abe Laboriel, André Manga, Janek Gwizdala, Stefan Rademacher, Wolfgang Zwiauer, ...

I started playing music at th age of 6 with piano. I stayed with it for 10 years. At the age of 15 i started to play bass by accident (as most of bass players i guess...). After playing in some local rock bands for a while i decided to make my life into music. So, i baught myself an acoustic bass, decided to study music a bit more seriously and went to 2 music schools (one in Geneva - ETM, and a second one in Bern - Swiss Jazz School) from which i got a diploma in Performance and Music teaching. At the same time i have been attending some workshop and private lessons with quite a few people like : Alain Caron, Stuart Hamm, Abe Laboriel, André Manga, Janek Gwizdala, Stefan Rademacher, Wolfgang Zwiauer, ...
I'm now playing with a lot of bands in many different musical styles : jazz, rock, pop, metal, hip-hop, electro, classical, ...
