PIETER MOERDYK
Very few solo performers can successfully fill the venues normally featuring bands. Pieter Moerdyk can do this. His first priority is entertainment and giving the audience what they want. His performance is musically sound and his warm and friendly stage banter completes the ingredients for a good time to be enjoyed by all. Due to his many years as an entertainer he also knows when it is the right time to holdback as to avoid imposing himself on the audience. Pieter Moerdyk gives the people what they want!
Pieter is an excellent guitarist and has a repertoire of over 300 popular songs from the 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, he loves the 60s and 70s and also has a collection of amusing songs he composed.
Besides the guitar, Pieter also plays soothing meditive music on the Native American flute and can get pretty rowdy with some fun audience sing alongs on his ukulele.
An example of some of most requested songs in his repertoire include:
BROWN EYED GIRL …………………..Van Morrison
MY GIRL…………………………………Temptations
BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER….Simon and Garfuncle
UNDER THE BOARD WALK……………Box Tops
YOU’VE GOT A FRIEND………………..Carol King and James Taylor.
Far too many BEATLE songs (don’t get him started!)

"Music is the medicine of the breaking heart." - A. Hunt
"It calls in my spirits, composes my thoughts, delights my ear, recreates my mind, and so not only fits me for after business, but fills my heart, at the present, with pure and useful thoughts; so that when the music sounds the sweetest in my ears, truth commonly flows the clearest into my mind. - Bp. Beveridge.
