Born in Italy in 1967, contemporary pianist Luciano Basso 's alumnus Pietro Taucher (AKA bluesboyrules)
began playing classical piano in his earlies with Romanian pianist Stefanija Janescu, later on he explored the creative world of the contemporary and experimental music.
Pietro turned to the blues style in the late 70s while playing and jamming with several musicians.
His career as a pro musician began with Charlie Bianco in 1984 playing in night clubs, casinos, ballrooms and strip clubs.
After two decades spent on stage in search for his own style in 2002 he has joined Detroit's band "Sharrie Williams and the Wiseguys". Since then, they toured the world reaching the heart of the people and receiving several nominations and awards.
Pietro has been nominated at the 2002 annual blues awards as best organ player.
Sharrie & the Wiseguys have been nominated for the 2006 and 2008 W.C. Handy Award as best blues band in the U.S.A.
Pietro also worked for Italian National Television (RAI) two years in 1988-90.
He is currently touring with Sharrie Williams & The Wiseguy's all over the world. He often perform with his buddy and great guitar meaestro Enrico Crivellaro, in 2009 a Cd will be released as "Enrico Crivellaro" feat pietro taucher under top Canadian Blues Label ELECTRO-FI.
