Influences
run for your life - 'pop songs for people that drink oil and chew rocks'
the star - 'local young boys wow pigeon eyes, a loud, grungy, slightly math rock inspired band with gluttonously poppy tendancies'
moderate rock - 'Looking and sounding like they’ve stayed up way too late drinking and listening to everything off of Steve Albini’s CV (yeah, even that Bush album) local trio Wow! Pigeon Eyes ruffle feathers first. And despite their more angular attacks the band make good on promises of pop music, combining their punk spit with some shining off-kilter melodies. Sure they’re sloppy and fuzzy and gloriously out-of-tune in places but they aren’t half satisfyingly loud and direct. And at least they ply their trade from an actual stage.'
the north foreland - 'hot new band with brilliant name.'
ingue records - 'wow pigeon eyes are an exciting young band worth checking out.'

wow! pigeon eyes was first used as the name for toby jackson's various weird and wonderful projects, but later went on to become the name of the rock band which played its first gig on the 12th july 2007, with an ipod instead of a drummer, and its last gig on the 12th july 2008, having played 18 shows with three different drummers (will may-millers cover set in woking probably doesn't count). thanks to everyone who put us on this last year, its been pretty shradical. x
hey, just uploaded the wow! pigeon eyes back catalogue which you can download from the link below:

these days toby plays in 'in case of moon disaster' which is along similar lines, just a bit angrier and more ballsy.

oshea came back from australia and picked up his band 'jealous again'... again! a wicked mix of rock n roll and hardcore mixed, think english bronx, maybe a little bit more r'n'r.
