About me: I have managed to combine a serious career as a creative business consultant with rock music
and wig / skirt wearing - that's pretty average really isn't it? My transition into self
employment was more inspired by George Michael's line 'Enjoy What You Do' from Wham Rap than
my MBA and other formal learning. Personality type ENTP - that's a rare breed!!
Author of three books on creativity etc. The latest one: SEX, LEADERSHIP AND
ROCK'N'ROLL is acclaimed by top business guru TOM PETERS, the business equivalent of Madonna or Prince, who said of it "Sex,
Leadership and Rock'n'Roll is a marvellous book, which closes the door on the tidy,
hierarchical, know-your-place 'Orchestral Age' and ushers in a new, creative era of
challenge and change.
Hooray!". Phil Beadle, Punk Rock Teacher and Guardian Columnist thought: "This book rocks
harder than early period Sabbath. I gulped it down quicker than Ozzy Osbourne used to down a
bottle of bourbon."
Copies available at AMAZON
Also available in POLISH
The book has a cameo section on the great Bill Nelson and his approach to personal
reinvention. Bill is an all round genius and my most admired artist. Add him from my Top
Friends if you wish.
Also the author of a much more academic tome 'Best Practice Creativity' - see AMAZON - Now in Russian
after 8 years in print!
Recently on TV on an educational lite chat show - Kinda like 'Parkinson for Teachers' - Take

Run my own business: ACADEMY OF
ROCK for radical creativity with rock music and HUMAN DYNAMICS for
creative business consultancy.
Play instruments in spare time and organise jam sessions around Kent. Most recent gigs were
with Wilko Johnson's band featuring Norman Watt Roy - the engine room of Ian Dury and the
Blockheads and Splodgenessabounds with my Glam Punk outfit GLUNK - on the 30th anniversary
of 'two pints of lager and a packet of crisps please'
My all time love of guitar is the enigmatic Bill Nelson. Admired as much for his approach
and attitude to the instrument than 'technique'. No one does it better!
I've also played a few times with veteran cult punk rocker John Otway and he wrote the
foreword to 'Sex, Leadership and Rock'n'Roll' - As a result I poured my life savings into his World Tour and tried to help him execute this audacious strategy. This was a once
in a lifetime experience which broke my heart and bank balance and a great deal was learned
in doing it. During the course of this, I also met Rainbow George, fringe pacifist
politician and next door neighbour of Peter Cook of 'Not Only But Also' fame. He had some
interesting tales to tell!
Two lovely but precocious boys and all the usual joys / nightmares that this brings!
There is some of my own music on ALTE
RNATIVE POSING - recorded at various points over the years.
Who I'd like to meet:
People from all over the world - variety is the food of diversity - play on!
People who share a sense of fun, music and anyone who is as stupid / brave as I am to combine their passion with their job.
Jimi Hendrix and Django Reinhardt would be nice (but time travel still not possible).
Aristotle and Plato would also be good - glad that My Space has reincarnated some of my heroes!!
