Hi, we're Pikapika Teart, the band from the heart of Siberia (it's in Russia). You don't know us yet. We do really love music of such group as Volapuk, Henry Cow (especially Fred Frith's music), King Crimson and some Ruissian academic composers such as Stravinsky, Schostokovich, Schnitke. So there is no surprise that some people say that they had an influence upon us (“Siberian Henry Cow with Russian folk music roots” they call us usually). Maybe..., we don't really know, and, you know, haven't ever thought about labels and genres. But, even if you find these bands boring and tiresome (you suck in this case!) don't miss our music. Who knows, maybe you'll love it! Anyway, we would like to think that we're unique and original band and we just want to play our music. This is the most significant thing for us, because the state of the cultural life of Russian province doesn't have a chance to any band who doesn't want to play commercial music. You have to play shit or go away right now. So we haven't recorded an album yet, you know, but we have material for two or three ones! Yeah, this is a terrible thing, but we're trying to not be down in the mouth, because hope is the only thing we have now. As a guy said about us: 'You lads have the great future and the crappy present' and, unfortunately, this is true. So, if you have a chance to help us with the studio deal, common, don't let us die!
