Paco - Lead vocals: was born in Mexico City on May 22 .
He has loved music since an early age, having grown up with soul and jazz singers in his family. He began his first compositions on guitar. Influenced by soul, funk and jazz, he found his own style of composition and brings a touch of soul to the band. after a while he started to have a big inluence of house and electronic music, now with all that mix he produce and write songs with a unique touch of all those influences

Pawis- Bass: was born in Tijuana, BC, on September 26.
He grew up in Mexico City and began his career in music as the vocalist of an alternative band, then became a drummer, and finally began to play bass and discovered his love of the instrument. Influenceed by disco, funk, new wave and house, Pawis gives a solid, rhythmic sound to the band. His influences are Jamiroquai, Sade, James Brown, Lenny Kravitz, Tower of Power, Brand New Heavies, Duran Duran y Earth Wind and Fire.
Ariel -Drums: was born in Mexico City on December 5.
His first musical recollection is The Beatles, an influence from his father who listened to Britain bands of that time.
Later, influenced by the music of the 80's, he wanted to be a part of a band. His first opportunity was with his older brother in 1992, and from that point on he joined a number of bands until Pilaseca, in 1999. Most of his influences are from the UK, like The Police, Pink Floyd, Queen, Peter Gabriel, Led Zeppelin, and recently Radiohead.
Omar - guitar: was born in Mexico City on January 29.
It was in Queretaro that he first became a musician, in 1990 playing in different alternative bands. In 2000, he was invited to join Pilaseca as lead guitarist.
His contribution to the band is based on the influences of funk, blues and rock. His influences are the Beatles, Sade, Tower of Power, Peter Gabriel, Dave Matthews Band, Van Halen, James Brown.
Uriel - keyboard: Borned in Leon Guanajuato in 1986, belongs to pilaseca since february 2007. He is into the synthesizer scene and began to do electronic music when he was 17. His major influences oscillates between 80's style electrofunk and synthesizer works to modern electropop.
Armando - trumpet: he comes from Queretaro city, and he has been playing trumpet for almost 18 years for some horn sections and popular music ensambles, giving his particular sound a spicy mix of latin elements and jazzed up riffs. His influences run from Winton Marsallis to old school jazz trumpetists.
Josue - sax: Josue was born in porto alegre Brazil in December 14th 1983, and he moved to Mexico in 1998. He studied music since early years with piano and then moved to saxophone and flute at age of 14. He became a member in 2006. His influences are Maceo Parker, Tower of Power, Jamiroquai, Candy Dulfer, Prince, Michael Jackson, Tom Jobim and Bebel Gilberto.
Juampe - trombone: He was born in Colima, Col. in may 14th 1986 and became a member of pilaseca at the age of 20, being the youngest musician. He began his musical study when he was 15 with classical guitar. At the age of 18 he played trombone for some reggae bands and finally becomes a trombonist. His main influences are Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Cultura Profética, Ozomatli, Fabulosos Cadillacs, Jamiroquai, MGMT, Chromeo, Tower of Power, Fred Wesley and Michael Jackson.
Pilaseca formed in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato Mexico in 1999, mixing Funk and Hip-Hop rhythms. That same year they recorded their first album, Humo de Cigarro (Cigarette Smoke), which includes ten songs that combine various musical styles and experiment with guest musicians.
In 2001 they began to work on songs for their second album, which shows the evolution of their style and creates a fusion of Hip-Hop, Funk, House, and electronic music.
In 2002 they recorded their second album, Afrodisiaco (Aphrodisiac), with the producer Francis Buckley (allmusic.com) who captured the live, funky sound of the band.
All recordings were done in the recording studio HIT RECORDS (San Miguel de Allende) and mastering in Bernie Grundman Studios (Hollywood California).
Afrodisiaco is the title of Pilaseca's new album.
It contains 11 songs that reflect the band's work of one year combine different influences like funk, hip hop and house.
Francis Buckley, who has worked with artists like Alanis Morrisette, Quince Jones, Aerosmith, among others, engineered and produced this album. He successfully captured and molded the energy of the band which gives the album groove and soul. All recordings were done in the recording studio HIT RECORDS

Hey! Ayer que me disponía a escuchar buena musica y despabilarme después de un tedioso día de trabajo, descubrí con horror que la caja de mi copia de su disco estaba vacía, en una primera búsqueda entre las demás cajas de discos y un pequeño interrogatorio a los demás habitantes de esta casa no obtuve resultados favorables, pero, nomas tenga algo de tiempo buscare hasta encontrarlo o me de por vencido y mejor me consigo otra copia, lo que pase primero.
wow chicos, la neta es que estoy feliz por lo del vive... cuando le conte a mis amigos no lo podian creer, muchas veces los lleve a mama mia a escucharlos cuando aun vivia en san mike y esto del vive fue como tener un pedazo de sma aca en la ciudad. Muchas felicidades y solo kiero decir que ir a funkear es de lo ke mas extraño de alla. Un saludo!
