Since the death of our precious Pilgrim on April 11th Our Site will serve to assist all those who have animals that are in need. It will be dedicated to her memory and will be named, Pilgrims Page. We are going through the steps to be able to facilitate many of Gods Creatures. Thank you to all that have visited and were part of Pilgrims life and her passing. Below is Our Current Focus.
The economy has taken a devastating toll on all of us BUT WHAT ABOUT THE ANIMALS??? They too are in trouble and need your help. Many people have lost their homes and cannot bring their Pets with them, Others cannot afford to feed them so they end up at the local shelters hoping they will find a new home, The sad truth is that they dont stand much of a chance. All across the country Shelters are flooded with homeless Animals who once were part of a Family and are not able to facilitate them. In some cases they are putting these precious creatures down in as little as 48 HOURS! HOW CAN WE STOP THIS?
Easy DONATE FOOD, Go to your local Pet Store and purchase as big of a bag of dry food or as many cans of wet food that you can afford to and drive it straight to your local Shelter(s). If you do not know where your nearest shelter is respond to this and we will tell you where to take the food.We will be posting links to Shelters in Need as we come across them. If you are unable and unwilling to do this YOU CAN STILL HELP. Please donate through Pay Pal to helprpets@gmail.com and we will make sure that your donation goes to give these precious Animals what they need to live another day.

No matter what State you live in-you can help. PLEASE help pass SB250.
California spends a quarter of a BILLION dollars A YEAR to kill
perfectly adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens-they die because
there are not enough homes for them due to people irresponsibly letting
them breed. Nationwide it costs America $2.5 BILLION dollars a year to
KILL perfectly adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. Please end
this vicious and cruel holocaust. SB250 IS the solution-other measures
were tried and they failed. The pet overpopulation problem continues to
escalate more and more, costing tax payers enormously.
Now Governor Schwarzenegger wants dog pound kills shortened from a six
day stay (then slaughter) to THREE DAYS-so each dog pound will be 100%
kill. Please pray SB250 passes-Please be compassionate and help these
helpless creatures.
pilgrim, i just know you're grinnin' at the wonderful things your mom and dad are doing for the critters down here. suede's gonna get his wheels soon too... woohoo!!
well, dammit... i guess $50 is better than $0 but personally, i think you were robbed. the first place photo isn't even in FOCUS. congrats for third place! God bless pilgrim AND suede.
What purpose did they serve, all the good dogs that once ran through the world and wait now in the shadowy quiet of the past?
They lightened our burdens and drove away our enemies and stayed when others left us. They gave aid and comfort, protection and security. They held a mirror wherein we might see ourselves as we long to be. They gave us a glimpse of the world beyond the narrow confines of our own species.
Although we make dull students, slowly they help us learn how to command and to protect with wisdom and justice and imagination.
They taught and still teach us the joy of giving generosity and kindness and love - without thought of gainful return.
And now - all the fleet hounds, the staunch mastiffs, the loyal shepherds, the dancing toys, the fumbling puppies, pets on silk pillows, workers plodding at their tasks, the special ones you loved best, those of ours we still miss - all the good dogs, goodbye, until on some brighter day, in some fairer place you run out again to greet us.
A ban on Pitbulls in Highland Park, IL to be scheduled this Monday, May 11th.
"These are mercurial dogs, they are unpredictable and they are lethal," Mayor Belsky said. "I think we need to lead by example here, and maybe other communities will follow suit and create a groundswell, like the smoking ban."
