The Backbone of pillory, Mario and Pete have been playing since they first met in high school. The common goals (being music bums) and ideas (party party party) drove them to stick together like real brothers (tear jerker).
But really.. We've been around since the early 90's playing cover songs in bars with our first band "the skaters", yeah, we were never good at naming our bands and since we all skated people called us.. *rant*.
We went our seperate ways for about two years and reunited under the name blindside with our good friends, who I also consider brothers, and amazing musicians Basf on guitars and Michel Turgeon on bass. We played mostly cover songs at parties, we never indulged in the songs that I was writing at the time, we were having too much fun but eventually, it was time to move on.
In around 2001 we recruited long time friend and singer Chris "jagger" Belanger as I concentrated on writing more and playing my own material. Our goal however was still the same but with some purpose, other than a good excuse for getting drunk. We had a few Line-up changes, we recruited Dan Pellet on Bass and Shithead Shawn on guitar who was in and out of the band several times for "good behavior".
Last year Pete had a serious accident, we didn't know if he would be able to play again and it made me regret not having recorded our material or having toured more with the band. Since his recovery, best friend and another brother has joined the line up, Nicholas "Gunner" Boudreau and we've been giving it our all since. ...And with enough material for a full length, you can expect an album VERY soon, and yes, we are planning to tour as much as possible.
