Michael Schulman, from Huntington Long Island, has been playing guitar for a decade and studied under Jimmy Sarle, the lead guitarist of Jonny Maestro And The Brooklyn Bridge. Schulman began a music career in the Fall of 2001 at Berklee. In the Spring of 2002 Schulman was introduced to drummer Scott Manley. Taking songs that were previously written, Schulman and Manley began to hold rehearsals. In Summer 2003 Manley introduced Mike Hart, a native of Staten Island, NY to the sound that he and Schulman were creating. In November 2003 the three went into the studio and produced the 6 song ep - paperwaves, which can purchased by clicking here. Shortly afterwards, the band reorganized with new drummer Dave Kelsay. After approximately 2 years of rehearsing and gigging in the Boston area Dave moved back to his native Talahassee, Florida. pilotbox is now based in New York and has recently finished recording their new work "telescope", available
