Portsmouth based DJ / Producer Pimpernel Jones has been liberating solid beats around Europe for over 5 years. His whip-crackingly dynamic spinning skills have won him fans and admiration from all areas of the dance world, and has led him to play alongside such divergent characters as Giles Petterson, Rennie Pilgrim, Hexstatic and the Freestylers (to name a few).
In the studio, Pimpernel's production talents have created hip hop and drum and bass hybrids such as "Pompey Up" - a scratchtastic stomper which has found its way into LTJ Bukem's record box, as well as being used by merecedez benz for their mixed tape series! The young pimp-meister (25) has released tracks with dirty breaks label Supercharged, b-boy's favorite Aerosolik, and downtempo label Cookshop.
Its not all play though, the elusive pimpernel has a long history of working with some of the best music organizations in the country. He has been known to Intern at Catskills records, run the weekly promotion of Supercharged club night, not to mention the fact that he's an artist liason officer for both the green man, everyone's favorite - the Big Chill festival.

Surrender of The Mind is written for those of us who need to get away. Maybe we have had a tough day at work. Maybe we have studied hard. Maybe we need to reflect on certain events in our lives. Maybe we just need a moment to clear our minds and re-set our mental strength. No matter what the reason is, there comes a time when we all need to surrender our minds.

Capturing the ancient sounds of panpipes, tabla, bells, sitar and many other ambient resonances for those who wish to achieve a higher state of consciousness, greater focus and self-awareness through yoga & meditation, or simply to accomplish a more relaxed and peaceful state of mind.
