Freddy_Kenton	May 13 2009 2:19 PM A hybrid of two cultures, the Puerto Rican/Dominican singer and songwriter, Freddy K, is ready to reinvent the Latin Urban genre. Coming from a family of musicians, Freddy K was born to perform and inherited his gift from his father, legendary merengue singer Freddy Kenton Sr. At 5 years old, Freddy K was touring with his father all over Latin America and the United States. This meant moving from school to school and even country to country. Freddy K spent 10 years in Puerto Rico where he witnessed the growth of Reggaeton and 2 years in the Dominican Republic where he became fascinated with Bachata.
