About me: Pine Ridge House Concerts is a unique, casual and intimate venue for Singer-Songwriter performances in the beautiful hills of eastern Tennessee. We’ve opened our home to performers and concert guest to provide a relaxed atmosphere where an attentive audience really listens to the artist.
The concept behind this performance venue is simple. We provide our home, refreshments and snacks. The artist performs for people truly interested in hearing them. Concert invitees bring beverages of their choice and appetizers, snacks or other food to share, and pay a modest donation/cover charge, 100% of which goes directly to the artist.
The end result is that concert attendees hear a great singer-songwriter performance, share food and drink, and make some new friends. The artist plays to an audience that really cares and gets to make some money. ...and we all have a great time!
Pine Ridge House Concerts is located in the rural hills of eastern Tennessee, about 25 miles northwest of Knoxville.
Our next house concert on Friday July 24th, features the return appearance of Rod Picott and Amanda Shires. Rod and Amanda played an absolutely amazing house concert for our series, back in 2007. We are thrilled that they’ll be able play for us again. You will want to make sure that you catch this show.
Rod has written Americana chart topping songs and has been a long-time favorite of ours. Amanda is an amazing fiddle player who was already a member of the legendary “Texas Playboys” by the time she was 16. The have a chemistry onstage that is incredible.
Rod Picott has established himself as one of the better new writers in Nashvile. His co-write Broke Down with Slaid Cleaves was the most played song on Americana radio in 2001. Rod Picott has released 5 albums to stellar reviews both stateside and overseas. His most recent album is titled “Summerbirds”. Maverick magazine called Summerbirds "as damn near perfect as you can get" and gave the album a full five star review.
West Texas fiddler and singer/songwriter Amanda Shires is also a founding member of Lubbock's Thrift Store Cowboys, releasing 4 albums independently and reaching top10 status on many CMJ charts around the country. Amanda’s most recent CD, titled “West Cross Timbers” was honored with a 4 star review from CD Baby. Bill Lavery of Village records states “this gal is one of the best kept secrets we’ve discovered.”
As usual, Wanda and I will provide cups, ice, coolers, soft drinks, and snacks. We’ll have a pot luck snackfest to accompany the great music. We’re going to make a “Low Country Boil” to serve as an anchor for our snack fest. We encourage everyone else to bring along some food to share with the other house concert guests (appetizer, dessert, side dish, main dish, or whatever you would like to bring). Please bring along whatever you would like to drink.
The house concert performance will begin at 8:00 PM and everyone is welcome to arrive starting at 7:00 PM. The suggested cover/donation for the show is $10 (100% goes to Rod and Amanda).
Reservations are required, so please RSVP to pineridgehouseconcerts@comcast.net or call me at 865-207-2207.
We hope that you’ll be able to join us for Rod and Amanda’s house concert.
Thanks,
Bryan

well, it's been a long and winding road, and an even longer time coming, but my debut CD, 'I Remember', is FINALLY HERE!!! YAY!!!!!
to celebrate, American HeartBeat Records(tm) has arranged a FREE DOWNLOAD of "Now Is The Time" in exchange for a valid email address. "Now Is The Time" is a brand new, upbeat song I wrote about hope for America's future, and the world.
we've got a bunch of exciting things planned to kick this whole thing off, and we need to get a better picture of who our friends are, so the FREE DOWNLOAD form will ask you a few questions, like, what's your country and nearest major city. it all takes maybe 15 seconds.
Hey. Just saying hi, thanks for the add! and that I stopped by your site to see what's new and cool with you. Yes, New album coming out soon! ttyl joe valenta. http://joevalenta.com
