Hakkımda: Pine Ridge House Concerts is a unique, casual and intimate venue for Singer-Songwriter performances in the beautiful hills of eastern Tennessee. We’ve opened our home to performers and concert guest to provide a relaxed atmosphere where an attentive audience really listens to the artist.
The concept behind this performance venue is simple. We provide our home, refreshments and snacks. The artist performs for people truly interested in hearing them. Concert invitees bring beverages of their choice and appetizers, snacks or other food to share, and pay a modest donation/cover charge, 100% of which goes directly to the artist.
The end result is that concert attendees hear a great singer-songwriter performance, share food and drink, and make some new friends. The artist plays to an audience that really cares and gets to make some money. ...and we all have a great time!
Pine Ridge House Concerts is located in the rural hills of eastern Tennessee, about 25 miles northwest of Knoxville.
Our next house concert on this coming Sunday, September 13th. This will be another “Dinner-time” house concert and will feature 3 “A-List” Nashville songwriters performing in the round. We are honored to be hosting Don Henry, Sally Barris, and Craig Carothers. Songs written by these three singer/songwriters have received Grammy and CMA Awards, Grammy Nomination, and Gold Record Awards. Along with having written top country songs, all three are seasoned performers, with great solo recordings.
Grammy Award winning Don Henry’s songs have been recorded by Ray Charles, Patti Page, Conway Twitty, Kathy Mattea, and dozens of other great artists, but they shine brightest when performed by the artist who wrote them. Long appreciated as one of Nashville’s finest singer-songwriters, Don is revered by fans, critics, and peers alike as one of the most inspiring, entertaining, and funny artists you are ever likely to see and hear. Sally Barris has managed to be successful in the mainstream world of country music without giving up her folk & Celtic roots. Sally has a unique style that makes her stand out in a city known for "cookie cutter" talent. Sally Barris doesn't easily fit into the country genre, but is one of the most talented writers currently working in Nashville. Songs written by Sally and performed by others include: "Let The Wind Chase You" (Trisha Yearwood), "Reluctant Daughter" (Martina McBride), "Some Things I Know" (Lee Ann Womack), "I’m On My Way" (Kellie Pickler), "The Innocent Years" (Kathy Mattea). Sally Barris doesn't easily fit into the country genre, but is one of the most talented writers currently working in Nashville.

Craig Carothers is a tireless touring singer/songwriter, In the last three years alone he’s driven 80,000 miles to play in more than 50 cities in 20 states. In 1995, Trisha Yearwood recorded Craig’s song “Little Hercules” which won Craig a gold record award. In recent years Craig’s songs have been recorded by artists including: Kathy Matea, Lorrie Morgan, Sons Of The Desert, Kate Markowitz, Andrea Zonn, Steve Seskin, Berkley Hart, and Peter, Paul and Mary.

We will have a potluck dinner for this “Dinner-time” house concert to accompany an early evening of great music. Wanda and I going to make a big pot of Chicken, Shrimp and Sausage Gumbo to serve as an “anchor dish” and encourage everyone to bring along some food to share, such as an appetizer, dessert, side dish, main dish, or anything else. Wanda and I will provide cups, plates, utensils, coolers, ice, soft drinks and snacks. Please bring along whatever else you would like to drink.
The suggested donation for this songwriters in the round show is $15-20, with 100% going directly to Don, Sally and Craig. The show will start at 5:00 PM everyone is welcome to arrive starting at 4:00. I expect that the concert will be over by 7-7:30 PM, so it won’t have to be a late night for anyone.
