   About Anesis

------------------------------------------------

stop press ... ... - It's a girl !.

------------------------------------------------
My first baby has just been born on Friday 30th March, 2007 at 11.42pm. She weighed 7lb 15 oz (3.65kg) and she's called Hana. Hana means 'flower' in Japanese. She is very beautiful and fragile and we will both be taking some time 'off the road' to spend with her and get to know her better.

We wanted a home birth, but last-minute complications with the birth meant that she was born in Torbay Hospital, Devon, U.K. The midwives and nursing staff were fantastic and worked well beyond the bounds of duty.

Special thanks to Karen and Jo and Christine from the hospital and all our other midwife friends from Totnes and Dartmouth groups who have been involved during the journey that brought Hana safely into our lives.
-----------------------------------------------

Misu

I am Misuzu Matsumoto and was born in Kyoto, Japan.
My family name Matsumoto in Japanese means "pine tree book".

I play celtic harp and write music. John is my husband, and plays classical guitar with me. We live in a beautiful part of Devon, and when we play, the music often takes me to a place where I can feel fresh air surrounded by woods I can imagine any season I like.

What we do .... We both get fantastic pleasure in playing live. We love playing at wedding receptions or St. Valentines day dinners where there is romantic mood, and we enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere for companies for greeting their guests at functions.

The music we play ..... We play a mix of our original songs, love songs, film music, classical and celtic songs - Scottish and Irish melodies - music in the style of Enya, and we can play up to two hours of music at an event. ..... We make sure that the music is always delightful to listen to, without being intrusive. And its really lovely when people come up to us after a performance and tell us how much they appreciated it. Sometimes I wear kimono and we play Japanese and Okinawan music on harp and sanshin (a shamisen from Okinawa).

John

I'm John Caley, and I've been playing with Misuzu for almost 10 years - she is an extremely intuitive musician and a joy to play with. She is also a lovely person, but I suppose I'm a bit biased!. Misuzu also plays guitar and accordion. But her main love is and remains the celtic harp where most of her musical composition takes place. I look forward to every live performance we do. All four MP3 tracks here are on our CD, and are written by Misuzu or myself. We both hope you enjoy them.

Coombeshead Studios

Coombeshead Studios are now looking to take on summer 2008 recording slots. If you are in a band and need a professional recording, we offer sessions at just £12.50 an hour on weekdays and £20 an hour on evenings (after 6pm) and weekends. All this paid time can be spent recording - mixing and editing can be done afterwards at no extra charge. If you wish to arrange a session, please message us and we will give you a list of available dates. Check out our top friends for examples of the recording quality, and the ’music’ section to see who we have worked with!

We also offer CD duplication at between 75p and £1.50 per CD for most requirements. This gets you a case, a print directly onto the CD face (no stickers!) and inlays. Contact us with your requirements for a quote.
Recordings do not have to be made at Coombeshead to qualify for this offer - if you already have recordings let us know and we can provide duplication for you!

We would like to thank all the bands who supported Coombeshead Studios during 2007. It was our busiest year ever at just short of 100 bands, and allowed us to spend several thousand pounds on some major upgrades, launching us from a low budget studio to a fully professional setup. We continue to offer our low budget prices but offer a greater flexibility of control and greatly improved quality!
