About Pingo and Bobby

Stefan Jakobsson (aka Pingo) and Carloscar Andréasson (aka Bobby De Moda) hail from Gothenburg on Sweden’s best coast – the West Coast. Both are well known in their hometown and have vast DJ’ing experience. Pingo and Bobby both have residencies in the finest Gothenburg clubs.

Their paths first met many years ago when Bobby was a stand in for Pingo at one of his clubs (Club Soleil). After that gig, Pingo and Bobby teamed up to work as a duo at Club Soleil, which had a very successful run in the Gothenburg House scene. They both have an enjoyably hectic schedule with more than 100 gigs a year, domestic and international.

Both Pingo and Bobby originally had their own independent studios but later combined to create one superior studio and thus HeyconBaycon Studio was born. Pingo has a production background stretching back to the halcyon days of the late 80’s with his old Commodore 64 and Amiga. Bobby started his musical career at the ripe old age of seven by playing the violin, but later switched his focus from melody to rhythm and started playing percussions.

In 2006 Pingo and Bobby created a peak hour remix for Timmy Vegas (second half of Soul Central) called Cabbage Juice, which was released on KneeDeep Records. The track was a bomb and went on to be the #35 best selling track on Traxsource.com for 2006.

You can expect a multitude of top-notch house tracks from this duo in the upcoming years. Many productions are underway, such as the “Soul of House EP” for Hermosa Recordings and many other exciting tracks are in the pipeline.
