Pink Freud: Chicago's BEST Pink Floyd tribute, playing the music the way it should be heard, harder, louder and with finesse! TAKING YOU BEYOND THE WALL TO THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON!!!!!
TONY ORANT - Lead vocals, atmospheric keyboards, screaming organ, piano and synthesizers
Tony Orant is a stalwart of the Chicago music scene, having played with Hello Dave, Rico!, Gertrude, The Core, CleoPatricx, The Proud, and Social Security among others. Having literally traveled the world over, Tony is fired up to be playing with the guys in this band.
GARY BERNAL - lead guitar and backing vocals
Gary Bernal is a monster guitar player and a veteran of many Chicago bands, including Dustin Parker, and 5 Guys Named Moe. His huge tone and fret finesse will leave you slack jawed in awe. A connoisseur of rock guitar, Gary is an encyclopedia of riffs and sounds, and will stun casual fans and hardcores alike.
PETE HERBIG - Drums and Percussion
Drummer extraordinaire and king of the funky back beat, Pete Herbig is the ideal drummer for this band. He has logged many years on the blues and rock circuits and is known for his deep pocket and impeccable sound. Pete has performed with Larry McCray, Barbara LeShore, Dion Payton, and Twisty Hedz.
KENNY SHENBARGER - Bass
Kenny Shembarger rounds out the crew with his subtle bass playing. His command of the instrument is obvious and the pocket he creates with Pete is deep enough to crawl into. Another veteran of the Chicago blues and rock scene, he logged many years playing with Pete, was the bassist for the cable music show "Guest List" and formed the nucleus of Twisty Hedz with Pete and Tony.
Together, Tony, Gary, Pete and Kenny recreate the sounds and moods of Pink Floyd (as well as Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, and a whole lot more.) Those who've seen the band know it's no exaggeration That Pink Freud takes you BEYOND THE WALL TO THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON!
All the classics: Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Yes, Genesis, BOoker T & The MGs, the Neville Brothers, the Meters, Wings, Jeff Beck, Bad Company, Robin Trower, Jimi Hendrix, The Fixx, Aerosmith, The Eagles, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Steely Dan, Peter Gabriel, Brother Jack McDuff, Jerry Garcia Band, Santana......blahblahblahyaddayaddayadda.
Sounds Like
Sounds like these mofo's did their friggin' homework, THAT'S what it sounds like!
PINK FREUD is THE BEST PINK FLOYD TRIBUTE you'll ever hear, featuring four of the best rock musicians in the country. When you close your eyes, you will swear you are sitting in the best seats in the house, listening to Pink Floyd rock the way you remember them. When you open your eyes, you'll keep asking yourself the question "HOW THE HELL ARE THEY DOING THIS WITH JUST FOUR GUYS??" While other bands have gone the easy route and relied upon smoke and mirrors to "capture Pink Floyd", the truth is, they have neglected the most important aspects: the sound, the musicianship, and the soul of the music. But don't take our word for it, check out what these folks had to say....then come hear it for yourself!!!!!
