    The Netherlands most famous open-air festival PINKPOP will take place for the 42th time at the beautiful festivalsite MEGALAND in the city of Landgraaf situated in the most South bound province of Limburg, 134 miles from Amsterdam (2 hours 45 minutes by train). In 41 years the festival was sold out 21 times, with a capacity of 60.000 spectators per day (50.000 weekendvistors incl. camping). Since 1970 more than 1,9 million people visited the festival and more than 500 acts played at the Pinkpop festival. This year's (2011) program will be just as sensational as previous years on Saturday June 11, Sunday June 12 and Monday June 13. During these three days PINKPOP proudly presents 40 bands on three stages. The 42th edition will be shown again live on Dutch National radio and television.
