Band MembersNick Boddington / Harry Howard / Sonke Rickertsen / Simon Strong
Influences

Simon: Robyn Hitchcock, Neil Palmer, Stewart Home, Billy Childish, Jarvis Cocker, Syd Barrett, Morrissey (not the Smiths guy, the other one), Momus.

Sonke: The Kinks, Klaus Kinski, Ton-Steine-Scherben, John Pfeiffer, Plastic People from Prague, Mum, Dad, Morricone, Ziggy Wrock

Harry: Possibly sonkes Mum. The original brief (devised by Simon and I at the time I proposed the band to him in 2000 and later with Nick and Simon) was to do psychedelic/garage/R+B/Texus-punk type stuff - hence the name. Syd Barrett was always included as well. Later 70s punk influences crept-in and more recently the 80/90s has made appeared in the choice of some of the covers - although probably put through some of the original briefs filters. The Charm of Innocence (Momus) for example being set to a piece of music I had already written and Babies (Pulp) having half its chords removed. How much the original brief is effecting things is hard to say because our influences on the whole, of course, are much, much broader.wa

   About pink stainless tail
Formed 16.Aug.2000 by Simon Strong and Harry Howard after a brain storming session resulted in the lyrics for Blood,Sugar,Dropping (on 1st release 'the skys a soft target'), the pair recruted the talents of maverick bass player Nick Boddington and jammed until enough material had been created to warrant a live-performance. Along came Sonke, who needed a band to improve his drumming skills and due to the instant 'perfect chemistry' experienced by all participants the logical step to continue as a unit was thus cemented irrevocably. The uniting factors of this unusual quartet was a love for raw garage punk and the ability to work together as a team with very little or no verbal communication at all, a strange recipy indeed. -Who wrote this??

Hello chaps. Firstly, allow me to say that "The Infinite Wisdom..." is a great slab of dicky CD format stuff that gets its flat little arse played off on my super media oberzentral. Secondly, what should I do with the CD that rightfully belongs to you, Nick. I've bootlegged it, of course... should I send it back to you, ma cheri? Which I would... or am I the default owner of this epochal artifact? These and other questions plague my sleepless nights. Anyhoo, praise the gods for the Tails! kiss kiss from jon

Always, sometimes, rarely.
S=ut+1/2a(t x t).
There is only one god and one devil.
Children are our future.
Viva La Difference.
You can't lose what you don't have.
Love.
Rain.
Life is like a bowl of cherries.
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes, you'll get what you need.
Water; the new gold.
The majority of men and women, etc. etc.
The trickle down effect is true,in music especially.
Thank You.
Music to me is, food for my spirit, my soul, body and my mind.
My DAD say's, "you can't be old until "I" am old", quote.
My MUM would always say, "I love you". And make my sandwich's for as long as I was in sandwich distance.
I've grown up, but I know right from wrong. Music and other Arts and Science's, are the best way to communicate and pass on beauty of life, and living.
Reckon you can write a song about my MUM Isabella.
Born in Thurso where the fishing was grand.
MUM was adopted by her grandad
Alexander
The best harbour pilot Thurso ever had.
Keep up the good work.
Time is not important, only life.
Rather have a bottle in front of me; than a frontal lobotamy.

Kurosawa's debut album, 'Your Star Has Fallen Over' is now available from CD Baby as a digital download!

..KUROSAWA: Your Star Has Fallen Over..

Kurosawa is a musical collaboration between Paul Cartwright, Adam Spellicy and Karen Vogt. The result is a graceful collision of soaring, ethereal vocals and lushly atmospheric, infectiously melodic acoustic and electronic sounds.

Calling all maniacal sound'n'visionary performance and post-new-art lovers: Berlin's sadly no longer secret cult venue Wallywoods at Weissensee is one year old this weekend.
Be there or miss Berlin's freakiest party this Saturday (starting with a wee freaky party on Friday) featuring...
the opening of our biggest exhibition yet, 23 artists from 20 lands, umpteen music & nutter acts including Isondu Tribe's light-jugglers dropping in from Argentina, the 10 Kaput Pianos Orchestra's open jam sessions, performance piano-painters, no doubt the odd surprise or VIP, and possibly, with bad luck, Wally's notorious banned Hammer Swing.
Love to see you. Especially alive and well.
Wally.
(Free entry Saturday for everyone, especially naked people who can name the stars from the terrace)
