Holly Keller/ Jenny Bousquet: Mandolin, Guitar, Vocals
Brought to you by: www.band-flyers.com
Influences
Mostly family, Blissfest, and all the good old hippies, old fogies, front porch pickers, firepit dancers, all of our friends, and anyone who has ever listened and enjoyed and encouraged or inspired us in any way to keep on doing what we do. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
These two artists met one day in 2005, discovering that they have the same passion. An astonishing harmony turned both their heads as they opened their mouths. They quickly bonded through music and formed a folk duo called Pinky Lee by 2007. The name stems from a pink guitar capo, which was a silly nickname from Jenny. Noticing that it had a breast cancer symbol on it, the girls have raised money for donations in honor of their name and the humanity of women.
Holly and Jenny, with their folksy based roots and soulful influences have blended these two styles together. They both enjoy writing about family, seasons, love, and life. The girls accompany themselves by switching off on both guitar and mandolin to bring a unique sound to the stage, along with incredible harmonies. From performing all over northern Michigan, even on national radio, and releasing their debut album “Don’t Ya Know?”, these two women hope to keep creating, and spreading their music throughout the world.
