About me: Pinup Nights is a Glasgow indie, punk, soul & electropop club night which takes place on the first Friday of every month at The Winchester Club, 49 Bell Street in the Merchant City. We host live bands and have a disco until 2am, and we also hand out a fanzine and badge to the first 100 to arrive every month. Past Guest DJs at Pinups include Malcolm Middleton (Arab Strap), Editors, Stephen Street, Super Furry Animals, Tony Wilson (Factory Records), Alex James of Blur, The Automatic, Rick Witter of Shed 7, Brett Anderson of Suede, Ian Parton of The Go! Team, Kia of the Mystery Jets, Terry Hall (The Specials, Fun Boy 3), The Futureheads, Scott Devendorf/Bryan Devendorf (The National), Captain, Eddie Argos/Jasper Future (Art Brut), Manda Rin (Bis) and The Pipettes. We also arrange various other gigs and events throughout the year, so if you would like to perform at Pinup Nights or one of our associated gigs, please send a CD to Pinup Nights, Flat 2/R, 26 Norham Street, Shawlands, G41 3XQ. If you would like to contribute to the fanzine email pinup_nights@yahoo.co.uk.
