Crobar’s newest addition to the family, Exit 66, will debut its highly anticipated 20,000-square-foot nightlife multiplex located along famed A1A in Fort Lauderdale, FL. during their grand opening soiree.  The ocean-front establishment will reveal its theme-inspired rooms based on Exit 66’s muse, Easy Rider lead character Billy, and his travels to discover America on the famed Route 66.

Nightlife impresarios and the mastermind craftsmen behind the award-winning, international brand of Crobar nightclubs, Callin Fortis and Ken Smith take guests on a journey through retro-America, adding a dose of 60’s kitsch and steamy-window sex appeal.  Stops along the way include Chiki Tiki - an awe-inspiring outdoor tiki lounge evoking the beach party days gone by in the 50’s and 60’s; Cool Pool – a slick, fashionable billiard hall that lines the second floor balcony and offers liquor, wine and beer bottle service and Room 66 – a swanky 60’s motel lobby that sits as an elevated and semi-private hide-a-way from the main floor.  The final destination and the venue’s namesake, Exit 66, is comprised of three bars including Billy’s Bar – which offers a sneak peak into mementos found Billy’s denim pockets during his voyage; Pleasure Lounge – provides guest with a small seating area and features the nation’s tallest dance poles with snake charmers that would make Quentin Tarantino proud and Pimp my Bar – stands as the focal point of Exit 66 and puts the “bling” in pit stop with a gold and diamond-plated bar and a massive, multimedia portrayal of the classic mud flap vixen produced by Creative Mafia.  Located alongside Pimp my Bar, Fortis has designed a one-of-a-kind, 16-foot truck tire to house the DJ booth and to pay homage to the truck that made the mud flap vixen famous.

The grand opening event produced by Michele Leshem of Supermarket Creative will boast a fusion of pop-culture, sub-culture and “blue collar vogue” featuring swimming mermaids, retro pin-up girl vignettes including Brown Betty of Pin Up Vixen, live art installation from the best manufacturers of vintage tiki pop, power couple Lourdes and Jaksin of Kreepy Tiki, synchronized swimmers, roller-skating models, Rockabilly bands, a display of Bruce Rossmeyer’s Harley Davidson motorcycles and hot rods, a bevy of rock ‘n’ roll acts including the Diablo Dimes and celebrity impersonators including Pee Wee Herman, Gilligan and more.  To set the mood, the event will include sounds by DJs Sean Weeks, Snezana, Joe Dert and Ani Phearce, in addition to a complimentary bar and passed hors d'oeuvres from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
