The media were short on superlatives in 2008, the debut year of Dutch youngsters Pioneers of Love. From 'frightingly perfect' to 'unique and hitsensitive'; the national and international press spoke of a very talented band. The strong show at Eurosonic past January made clear that the 21st Century Wave of the fourpiece band is definitely hot. Roomwide bombast, raw but catchy. Their first European shows already showed that good wave no longer needs to be British. 2009 Is the year of Pioneers of Love.
