I like Mello Music. For example I LOVE "Swing Life Away" by "Rise Aginst" but have trouble stomaching their other tracks. Rufus Wainwright, DMB, Sting (Not so much The Police), Beatles, Billy Joel, Green Day, Goo Goo Dolls (Acustic ..3!!), The Format, Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, Tim McGraw.
I don't know I love lots. Hate lots too. But whatever.
Movies
Once again I love too many to say... but here's a few highlights
LOTR Extended Editions, Snatch, Love Acctually, Crash, Willow, Labrynth, Kill Bill, The Princess Bride, 28 Days Later, The Day After (NOT The Day After Tomorrow). Currently have around 220 DVDS not including TV series.
Television
Don't watch too much TV. In fact I don't even have cable at the moment...
Battlestar Galatica (sci-fi channel 9pm fridays), Firefly, The History Channel, The Discovery Channel, NOVA.
What I'm a nerd, I said that already.
Books
I read when I can but I tend to get distracted and not finish them (the ADD kicks in).

Outwardly I appear to be a sci-fi nerd, who gets grumpy when he's hungry, and gets excited about the oddest little things. Inwardly I'm struggling to understand my place in the world. I have aspirations that ranging from owning my own business, to teaching, to sitting old and wrinkled on the porch swing with my wife. I am a man of countless contradictions. Sometimes I want to download every song possible, but refuse to listen to most of it. I love to explain and teach, but can be arrogant when people don't know what I feel is "common knowledge".
I'm the poster child for introverts everywhere and get worn out from being around groups of people for long periods of time. Being alone with some music and my thoughts is how I relax, unwind and keep sane. I'm a bit more complex then even my closest friends realize.
I'm currently teaching in a Title 1 school in North Carolina. Everyday is a trial. I deal with kids who can't afford enough clothes to keep from smelling, to 10th graders who can't read, to gang-bangers with parole officers. All I can do is come in everyday with a smile and try my best.
Who I'd like to meet: James Callis & Arthur C. Clarke off the top of my head but I'm sure I'll think of more later.
Cool new thing. Hit me up directly here. It somehow connects directly to my IM. :) Coolest new toy asard? Yes.

Hmm.. yes, it's official - you need to come home now. And by home, I mean Michigan, not that tropical yuck of a state that you live in temporarily. And (also) by home, I mean our office. We'll put an air mattress in. It'll be real comfy!!
