- INSINTESI ft live on stage MISSMYKELA: progetto che nasce nel 1998 a Lecce (Salento) dall'incontro di esperienze musicali ed artistiche differenti unite da un unico comune denominatore: l'amore per la musica dub, raggae, jungle. La loro musica fonde le sonorità urbane del dub con le melodie del ragga salentino e della musica etnica mediterranea. Durante le loro performance i dj vengono accompagnati da mc e vocalist, dando vita ad un live interattivo composto principalmente da bassi profondi e metriche reggae. Nel 2003 collaborano alla produzione dell'album "Jentu" dei Nidi d'Arac, edito dall'etichetta V2, e nel 2004 partecipano all'unica compilation legata alla drum'n'bass made in Italy "Italain Bassline vol.2", con un loro brano edito da Afun Records. Nel 2007 esce il loro primo album "SUBTERRANEA", prodotto da Altipiani/Edel, un mix di dub, elettronica, etnica e ragga che vede la partecipazione di alcuni dei più rappresentativi cantanti del circuito salentino. Dopo aver realizzato una serie di remix per svariati producers del circuito dub, elettronico ed house attualmente si occupano alla produzione del nuovo album che uscirà nell'estate 2009 e vedrà la partecipazione di numerosi artisti dell'ambiente reggae, etnico ed elettronico sia di livello nazionale che internazionale...

The new album offers lush soundscapes punctuated with surreal samples, playful melodies and manipulated found sounds. The musical themes drift between ambient, pop and dub.
Spheres of inspiration include outerspace, all manner of pop culture, and infomercials. Musical influence comes from varied sources such as The Orb, Future Sound Of London, Orbital, Boards Of Canada, Lemon Jelly, Astralasia, and Banco de Gaia. This eclectic mix, coupled with some stellar guest appearances from other musicians makes for an evocative and sometimes surprising listening experience.
