pirates, dead things, music, shows, people watching, fun and stuff (now with things)... enjoy learning about history, as they say it repeats itself, hmm... Adolf Hitler said "How lucky for those in power that people don't think." And during the Nuremberg Trials Hermann Goering (second in command of the Third Reich and commander of the Luftwaffe) said "Of course the people don't want war...that is understood. But voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."
Music
frankenstein, cramps, bobby boris pickett and the crypt kicker five, the clash, the pogues, toy dolls, tom lehrer, john zacherly, johnny cash, adicts, damned, subhumans, devo, journey, AC/DC, depeche mode, BRAK!, 80's/deathrock/punk - the list goes on and on...
Movies
gone with the wind, evil dead triology, straight to hell, anything with vincent price or john cusack, cheesy 80's movies, howard the duck, cheesy gory b horror movies, pirate movies, forbidden zone, the terror of tiny town (a rollickin', rootin', tootin', shootin' drama of the great outdoors)
Television
Books
most recently read (and finished) books are Damien Echols autobiography (one of the West Memphis Three) "Almost Home: My Life Story Vol 1" and Philip Gourevitch's "We wish to inform you that tomorrow we will be killed with our families - Stories from Rwanda". Books that I have been off and on reading and plan to eventually finish are Charles Van Doren's "A History of Knowledge - Past, Present, and Future" also John Perkins' "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" and Jimmy Carter's "Our Endangered Values - America's Moral Crisis".
Heroes
My Grandfather... My memories are filled with his dedication and devotion to our family and stories of his adventurous youth like hitch-hiking to California as a teen in hopes of meeting Deanna Durbin ~ he didn't get to meet her then (though he did meet Judy Garland after sneaking into Universal) but eventually did when in WWII he named his plane after her.
About me:
what can i say about myself, well lets see... i think people take themselves and life way too seriously, so i try to enjoy life and the random silliness of it all as much as possible. i like to spend my time parting like a rock star. when i'm not doing that i'm usually either doing something pirate like or hanging out with my friends and getting my fill of gory, cheesy, silly horror greatness. Oh yeah and according to my birthday my strength is my supreme genius (for those in doubt see below)
You are a natural born leader, even if those leadership talents haven't been developed yet.
You have the power and self confidence to succeed in life, and your power grows daily.
Besides power, you also have a great deal of creativity that enables you to innovate instead of fail.
You are a visionary, seeing the big picture instead of all of the trivial little details.
Pretend this is me calling you on the phone:"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Enjoy yourself...it's later than you think!" (Oh, by the way, I need your phone number again!)
Tanti auguri di buon anno ! Pensi di passare dall'Italia quest'anno??? (No translation ... you have to prove me your Italian doesn't suck as my English)
