   About The Pirate Fairies
Walkabout Street (or rather Field) Theatre for Festivals

Two Pirate Fairies, one magical Barrel and a whole lot of Laughs!

Ahoy there me Hearties! The Pirate Fairies have a barrel of lost and stolen laughs and we are on a mission to return them to their rightful owners. Do you have your laugh? Can we check it? Laugh down the tube, into the barrel, and the barrel will check your laugh. If all is well, your laugh will resound loud and clear from the depths of the barrel and you will be awarded a Laughter Checked sticker. Should you need something to make you laugh, we will tell our best joke,

"Why are pirates called pirates? Because they aaarrrggghhh!",

dance crazily, hit each other with fish and attempt all manner of piratical larks and fairy magic. If, however, all this fails to raise a chuckle, you have truly lost your laugh, and we will happily give you one from the barrel!

The Pirate Fairies and the Barrel of Laughs can be performed open air, under cover, on stage, off stage, on the move around your festival and amongst audiences between bands. We have a super, interactive and highly entertaining act and are on a mission to create fun and laughter wherever we go!

Thank you so much for performing [at Latitude 2006].
Tania Harrison - Mean Fiddler

We would love to have you back again next year...you add a colourful addition, creating merriment and pirate fairy mischief wherever you go......
Sarah Nichols and all the Hazy Team - Eastern Haze

Ahoy! Did you lovely ladies have fun at Gaunts house? Wasn't it a beautiful venue. It's been one of my favourate festivals ever. But then I do prefer the small ones.

It's a shame we were leaving when you arrived, it would have been lovely to see you properly again.

I don't think we are performing at any more of the same festivals as you now :( But I'm sure we'll see you again next summer.

Lots of love and Sparkles

The Opium Den is back to bring you fireworks on the 4th July.

With performances from the Stillhouse Orchestra, Sam Astley and Craig Temple providing bluesy hillbilly rockin sounds to dance and sing along to and The Opium Den Madame Amanda Mae Steele and Miss Rose Thorne providing the Burlesque you'd be mad to miss it.

There will as always be the delectable opium tea served up to those who need it!
And also the inimitable Lydia Darling providing the tunes for you to dance to.

Why go anywhere else!

The Opium Den

Jun 3 2008 10:06 PM

The third Opium Den hosted at the infamous Bardens Boudoir
Due to the sad passing of Mr Bo Diddley we have a surprise turn from Mr Paul Ronney Angel and Special Guests playing some of his greatest songs.

Also this night as you are all aware we have
Mike The London Magician astounding us all with his Mind Reading powers of amazement.

Charlie Khan will be bringing his skiffle sound to the Den's illustrious stage.

Dr Butler's Hatstand Medicine Band will be taking us back to when Penny Farthings graced the streets of London.

Luc Owll will be surprising us with his dark and brooding one man show.

Cogregation will be gracing the stage too with their amazing and unique sound.

Mojo raved about them and it's easy to see why we had to have them play for us too!

And finally the infiniately beautiful Lalla Morte will be charming us with her fabulous burlesque.

DJ's are Duncan DeMorgan (Born Bad, Shore Leave) Lydia Morgan ( B Movie Strength through Joy) and your hostess Amanda Mae Steele.
