Ní itheann na Seapánaí mórán saille, agus faigheann siad níos lú teipeanna croí ná na Sasanaí nó na Meiriceánaí. Ar an taobh eile, itheann na Fraincisí a lán saille, agus faigheann siad níos lú teipeanna croí ná na Sasanaí nó na Meiriceánaí, chomh maith. Ní ólann na Seapánaí mórán fíon dearg, agus faigheann siad níos lú teipeanna croí ná na Sasanaí nó na Meiriceánaí. Ach ólann na Iodálaí a lán fíon dearg agus faigheann siad níos lú teipeanna croí ná na Sasanaí nó na Meiriceánaí, chomh maith. Mar chríoch: ith agus ól mar is mian leat. Is é labhairt an Béarla a mharaíonn tú. TRANSLATION: The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or the Americans. On the other hand, the French eat a lot of fat and also suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or the Americans. The Japanese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than the British or the Americans. About me:

Duir Dhuit! I am a historical reenactor/ rennaissance improv co-founder of the Hey Nonny, Nonny Players. Currently we are in production and stage combat training for 2009 Pirates of the Luna Sea show at the Fishers RenFaire. We are currently looking to expand to other faires for fun. We can be sighted around Fishers, IN and Indianapolis, IN as the only land-locked pirate comedy troupe around. Why? We seem to lose our ship all the time... Our home base is Fishers Renaissance Faire where we volunteer our blood, sweat and tears into the Pirates of the Luna Sea and the Fishers Renaissance Faire. I play the hysterical, historical 16th century Pirate Queen Grainne Mhaol, nicknamed by the English as Grace O'Malley of Connaught, Ireland. As Grace would say,"Ná glac pioc comhairle gan comhairle ban" Translation: Never take advice without a women's guidance. Grace was a noblewomen turned pirate who fought to keep Ireland free from English oppression. What we know about Irish language and culture now is due in part to her struggles and defense of Western Ireland against English colonization. Ireland's struggles today started here, with the 16th century O'Malley clan and piracy just the tip of the iceburg... Our show this year is the Battle of the Sexes. I'm one of the captains of the Luna Sea but I have three other sea dog captains who will fight me for the right to command the ship. Find out what happens to me at this year's Fishers renfaire when we star in, "The Battle of the Sexes".

Who I'd like to meet:

Queen Elizabeth The First- I've become quite the chummy lady to ol' Bess, much to the chagrin of her stuffy courtiers. She likes to make deals with me to help support her navy and keep me from raiding her ships. Sir Walter Raleigh - dashing Queen's sea dog in search of fame and fortune (Old Bess likes him 'cause he's cute, 'nuff said) Captain Aaron the Black -He rules the ship "Luna Sea" with an iron fist. No, literally. It's an iron hook for a hand. What ever you do, don't ask him to pick his nose. He'll bribe you to like him, and then steal the gold he just gave you when your not looking. Bloody Alex - Aaron the Black's "Shmee" side-kick- Watch out for her two pet sharks, I wonder if that's how Cpt. the Black lost his hand? She plays the airhead of the crew, but she is really as sneaky and conniving as the rest of us. She tends to lick the treasure so noone else will want it. Eww! Cuthroat Lizzie- the pirate lass is as firey as her red hair. Don't let her pretty dread locks fool you, she's pretty mean with a right hook and a pistol too. Better watch out for this one lads, she's got a thing for Jack Sparrow. Sir Johnathan Hawkins- big giant, teddy bear of a pirate, who looks strangely like Hagrid from Harry Potter. He's got a girl and a bottle of rum in every port they say... Sir Francis Drake- England's hero and Spain's infamous pirate. Wouldn't mind having him watch my back in a fist fight. Noble swashbuckler who would never fight a lady. It's a good thing I'm not a lady! Ha! Goofy, our newest crewmate, a scurvy, yet loveable cutthroat, scallywag sea dog if there ever was one. New to this whole piracy thing, he sometimes says "Q!" instead of "R!". We are still teaching him the ropes. Literally... he's swinging from the crows nest upside down right now. I don't think there's much hope for this lad.

Grace O’Malley sailed her galley, Clare-ensconced for war
Nursed, that hellion ev’ry ‘bellion ‘round the Connaught shore

Joycers dared then Cock dis-Grace when facing men O’Flaherty
Henned were all who, Cock-sure, learned new Howth-pitality

Loved a manly Iron Dick, be Rockfleet her main prize
Groomed a Tibbot (doomed for gibbet ‘long with two more boys)

Went to Greenwich wearin’ spinach pleadin’ for reprieve
Traded battle, sons, and cattle, Bingham’s early leave

Soiled their lace, she fire-placed, she dueled Bess’s Latin
Back to Eire blade and fire, but no beef to fatten

Fought for nine years – Bingham’s nightmares – fleet a rock of war
Grace O’Malley sailed her galley to her Bess’s shore
