Bio
Pirate Radio was formed by Sean Battles and Nick Dayka in the summer of 05, taking their name from a Something Fierce song. They met in San Luis Obispo,CA and played together briefly in punk/goth group Princess Dead, and scrappy indie group 5 More Minutes. They have recorded two E.P.s (recorded by Skyler Norwood), one as a duo and the second with bassist Chris Hutton. The third E.P.(recorded by Chris Flanagan), with Jason Begin (ex Christie Front Drive) on guitar and James Arnold on bass, is currently being mixed. Jason now lives in Colorado, new guitarist Megan Tresvino picking up lead guitar and vocal duties. -

Sounds Like
"Portland is pretty much the indie rock center of the universe right now. The funky, equally Motown and 80's-inspired Pirate Radio fits right in. With light grooves and tip-toeing lyrics balanced on tightly crafted song structures and grasping bass lines, Pirate Radio is an eclectic package that's very worth opening." (Matt Driscoll, The Weekly Volcano) http://feeds.feedburner.com/praevents has a quiet, but good live recording from a show we did at kelly's for portland radio authority. .. .. ..
