i love poetry, reading can spend hours at the Strand.
i like zabars,cooking,most restaurants dont impress me,are over priced and i cook better.although i have never passed up eating delivered take-out chinese food from cartons in bed.i love vintage clothes, antiques, auctions, thrift stores love to get bargins!.......i have a weakness for designer heels & guys with high cheekbones like a certain bass players....
i love animals.
i like a lot of different types of music.from billie holiday to alice cooper to staind,aaron's words "Right Here" like he's been watching this dance we seem to do.
i like black and white old movies, mainly because i like seeing the cut of the clothes, and life seemed so simple then , people seemed to care more.New movies, wait till they are on video rather watch them at home.people tend to annoy me in theaters.
hardly ever watch tv, as i have such little personal time for myself these days,feel its a waste unless its like the discovery channel where i can learn something.(i did design and put in my own ceramic tile floor in my kitchen) if i need silly mindless,need to laugh i will watch its always sunny in philadelphia ( a modern day 3 stooges.)
HATE realtiy tv shows(like they are not scripted)..............
I work for what i need and pray for what i want and i guess we will see what the universe sends me.

With the horrific reality of what just happened at VT embedded in the conciousness of millions, my thoughts drifted in many directions. A person's soul can be ravaged in many ways. The loss of someone close to you creates feelings and emotions unlike any other you may experience. Most of you now reading this have experienced that loss in your lives at some point in time. The passing of someone near and dear to your heart is something that stays within you for the remainder of your life.
While the dust settles on this tragedy and more and more questions get asked to as why this has happend, the bands song "Close My Eyes" takes on a more significant reality to me. So many of you have put this song on your pages and have written in with letters expressing how much this song has touched you. Some have said it makes them think of a loved one that drifted out of their lives or a son, daughter or parent that they are estranged from. Others have stated they connect with it because of the death of a loved one, a son, a daughter, a husband, a wife. It touches people on many levels but the results are always the same. It brings a sense of joy,comfort and thankfulness. It's alright not to forget. One can move on with their lives without it being a pre requisite to forget. When the loss of someone brings sorrow it's directly proportionate to the joy they inspired while alive.
So many are now feeling intense sorrow because of a senseless act. All of us on the outside looking in should be extremely thankful for everything we have. Don't fret about the small shit in your life. Think of this...if you were to sit down with 10 other people with everyone putting their problems in a box...and you had the ability to eliminate your problems by taking on someone elses...you would still choose your own problems. I believe we are never given anything that we can't handle.
Let's learn from tragedies. We all can become better and stronger. Let'
