  • Movies

..August Rush might be the best movie I've ever seen. Seriously.
The dueling guitars scene when Freddie Highmore and Jonathan Rhys Meyers play together is one of my favorites. There's just something so incredible about acoustic guitar, I could probably listen to one played well all day. In fact, this very scene is what inspired me to finally stop procrastinating and start guitar lessons.
This Time, a song Jonathan Rhys Meyers did for the movie, is absolutely beautiful. Here's a video of clips from the movie with the song as background.

About me:

I don't CARE if I'm a Guilty Pleasure for you...
Cobra Starship - Guilty Pleasure (Home Video) from Fueled By Ramen Music Videos on Vimeo. FANGS UP, COBRA STYLE!!!
Well...I'm quirky and eccentric and I'm pretty sure there's no one else quite like me...I'm a fabulous photographer and I shoot a lot of weddings and family portraits but my real passion is music. For a long time I photographed bands local to Baltimore and some national acts as well. That's the aspect of photography that I have always loved most because you can really get a sense for the emotions of a performer. I've gone back into training and I hope to start photographing musicians and concerts again in the very near future. Visit my photography website at www.photographsbyall.com

I also have a new event planning business called Your Magical Events. I design every aspect of events and I also assist with setting up, hiring vendors, and keeping everything organized and efficient. You can visit my event planning site at www.yourmagicalevents.com

I love that my inner child has taken over and I am finally free to be who I am without really worrying about what people think. I try not to judge so I just hope people deliver the same courtesy my way. When it comes to some things, music especially, I get a little obsessive but I just like to call it a hobby. It's harder to sweat the small stuff when your hobbies are there to help you through

I am married to the greatest, most wonderful man ever. Some call him Armand Assante, some call him Supermen, some call him RyLo, some even call him Ryan, but I'm just glad I can call him mine. (insert gratuitous "AWWWWWWW!" here)

I do keep a blog that I update more than the one on here. I usually use it to harvest my creative energy but sometimes I share things like "How to survive a zombie attack." You should check it out at handidandi.blogspot.com

Peace out.

You Are Guinness
You know beer well, and you'll only drink the best beers in the world.
Watered down beers disgust you, as do the people who drink them.
When you drink, you tend to become a bit of a know it all - especially about subjects you don't know well.
But your friends tolerate your drunken ways, because you introduce them to the best beers around.

Photogirl, your pirate name is
Grace the Bloody
What is YOUR pirate name?

You are The Cap'n!

Some men are born great, some achieve greatness and some slit the throats of any man that stands between them and the mantle of power. You never met a man you couldn't eviscerate. Not that mindless violence is the only avenue open to you - but why take an avenue when you have complete freeway access? You are the definitive Man of Action. You are James Bond in a blousy shirt and drawstring-fly pants. Your swash was buckled long ago and you have never been so sure of anything in your life as in your ability to bend everyone to your will. You will call anyone out and cut off their head if they show any sign of taking you on or backing down. You cannot be saddled with tedious underlings, but if one of your lieutenants shows an overly developed sense of ambition he may find more suitable accommodations in Davy Jones' locker. That is, of course, IF you notice him. You tend to be self absorbed - a weakness that may keep you from seeing enemies where they are and imagining them where they are not.

One more thing, me and Jocelyn have decided to bring back soulDecision! We heart them and we miss them and we want them back! You might remember faded, a big single in the US for them: In the meantime, check out the solo venture by SoulDecision singer, Trevor Guthrie right here on myspace!

Who I'd like to meet:

People that share my interests and are a little quirky and eccentric like me :-) I'd like to meet Danny Elfman and convince him to follow me around and score the soundtrack to my daily life. I also wouldn't mind meeting Brandon Flowers and Hugh Jackman and Fall Out Boy and The Jonas Brothers and maybe Gary Oldman but I won't be holding my breath on those anytime soon. I'd like to meet someone from Nsync that I haven't already, though it would be ok to meet them again, but I don't need to meet this guy (see below)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Fall Out Boy's video for their cover of Michael Jackson's 'Beat It' is awesome. See how many Michael Jackson video spoofs you can find in the video. Not to mention the cameos. Oh and Pete Wentz looks ridiculous hot during the performance scenes in the video with his hair all spiked out and sexy-like. Watch for that too :-) Enjoy.

What *NSYNC song are you?

You're "Pop." Dirty, catchy and a bit angry, you're fun and like to dance it up!

  • Jun 2 2009 3:27 AM

I'm going to sell your wisdom and making a freaking KILLING! I might share the profit.
  • May 26 2009 1:30 AM

definatly check them out.. "unwinding cable car" is an incredible song.  i am actually getting "don't drop your arms" tattooed on my rib cage which are lyrics from that song.... (it's one of my profile songs if you wanna cheat!)
  • May 26 2009 1:04 AM

it's hard for me to pick just one as well... i have a few songs by different bands... like "remembering sunday" by all time low just tends to make me feel good.. "vegas skies" by the cab always makes me smile because it gives me hope in love... there are a few songs by the red jumpsuit apparatus and promise of redemption that make me feel warm inside....

but i must say that the band who inspires me the most has got to be anberlin.  they arn't a christian band but they are christians as people and you can tell that by their lyrics... i'm not a religious person in any sense but their lyrics inspire me to have hope and faith in the world and the people in it.... it's amazing..
  • May 26 2009 12:47 AM

almost everyone who is into music has atleast one band who inspires them.  one band who's lyrics lift you up out of the hardest of times.  one band who's music can always put a smile on your face.... i'm curious - who is that band for you?
  • May 15 2009 7:23 AM

hey thanks so much for the add! how's it going?

    -andrew
  • May 13 2009 2:39 AM

i sent a message about tickets and they aren't even on sale yet. which is odd since its in less than 3 weeks. but the myspace said they'd let me know about pre-sale...

i dunno, i'll message mercy mercedes and the scenic tomorrow and see if they have any further details about the whole thing. i just hope tix aren't too expensive.

either way, i have to go. i need me B fix.
  • May 12 2009 7:44 PM

i really really really really really really really (um, REALLY?) hope you can go with me on 5/30. i can't get enough of those boys (esp brandon).
