The Pirates of the Lachine Canal are a community based promotions group with a focus on the Sud Ouest region of Montreal (which encompasses specifically the neighborhoods of St-Henri, Griffintown, Verdun, Pointe-St-Charles, Ville-Emard, Little Burgundy and N.D.G.). We promote music and art within this community, as well as promote local and international bands in within the city of Montreal.
Every Thursday, we host a punk rock / anything goes kinda DJ night called TIME'S UP at a bar called Black Jack (3814 Notre Dame Ouest) in St-Henri. You should all come hang out sometime.
We host many of our shows at a place called FRIENDSHIP COVE, located in Griffintown (just directly southwest of downtown Montreal). It is the premiere DIY all-ages loft venue in the city of Montreal.
We co-promote many events with BLUE SKIES TURN BLACK and we have co-promoted events with POP MONTREAL, SIZE 'EM UP and SUONI PER IL POPOLO.
