Hakkımda: Pirat 69 was a real live pirate radio station broadcasting from the famous activist house Ungdomshuset in Copenhagen (see: www.ungdomshuset.dk). In fact we managed to become the longest running pirate radio ever on Danish ground - broadcasting 24 hours a day from December 14th 2006 to March 1st 2007. Now the authorities have forcefully and violently evicted us and demolished the house that young people of Copenhagen have been using for 24 years. A historic building with more than 100 years of significance has been destroyed to make way for a right-wing christian church called Faderhuset. We bullshit you not people - that is really what happened.
Breaking news update:
Around 7 a.m. March 1st 2007 the eviction of Ungdomshuset 69 started and at noon the building itself has been announced cleared by police.
The police are now sweeping the house looking for explosives and weapons.
Hundreds of cops from the Copenhagen policeforce are right now clearing Ungdomshuset 69 with help from the antiterrorsquad and helicopters.
More cops from all over Denmark are being deployed in Copenhagen as riots are escalating all over Copenhagen, inclduing Christiania.
A 20-year old German man from inside the house has been seriously injured and taken away on a stretcher by an ambulance.
35 people inside the house has been arrested and taken away in busses.
More than 60 people has been arrested in the streets so far.
The police are rumored to have used lots of water, foam and gas to pasify the young people inside Ungdomshuset 69.
The area around Ungdomshuset 69 are full of people coming to express their frustrations, more cops and policecars and lots of journalists and cameras everywhere.
The radiostudio in Ungdomshuset 69 are not in function anymore.
