Powerful, Explosive, Thunderous, Raw, Gritty & Grungy are merely six words you could use to describe Fuller's vocal presence. While he would modestly disagree, Fuller is also arguably the cleanest rhythm guitarist on the planet (flawless).
"Guido" sets an aura with his guitar based on the message the lyrics are trying to send. His tone & technique is the oxygen that fuels the music & makes Pistol Day Parade sound unique, yet genuine!
"Guido" uses: Gibson guitars, Marshall amps, Boss pedals & DR strings
Rob was born with a "natural raw" guitar ability that always compliments what everyone around him is doing. Pistol Day Parade's jack of all trades, Rob can amaze the masses by grabbing any instrument on stage and playing it, some better than others, haha!
Rob uses: Fender guitars, Mesa amps, Electro-Harmonix pedals & DR strings
Jason is the pulse that delivers life to Pistol Day Parade's music. His fluidity & surgeon like precision is what makes him a true master of his craft.
Jason uses: Ampeg bass rig, Spector Bass & Elixir strings
Entertainment, a show all his own, Randy Watson delivers with exceptional showmanship & perfect timing. A true pocket player with flair who thinks outside of the box. While he may be the baby of the band, it's undeniable that he's a prodigy well beyond his years.
Randy uses: Pearl drums, Pearl hardware, Zildjian cymbals, Remo heads, Roland electronics & Vater sticks
In the year 2008, the emergence of "Pistol Day Parade" in the Detroit music scene forged together the talents of five highly respected musicians to showcase what Detroit rock really has to offer. While blending their music in a completely original fashion, (PDP) is constantly creating a style all their own. The music written by (PDP) will take the listener on a rock n roll journey of their many influences that spans multiple eras of music. Up until now, bands with similar influences have been afraid to meld together such an eclectic variety of sounds.
"Pistol Day Parade" is religiously devoted to promising less & delivering more in every aspect of the game. Their stage show is no exception: "We treat each show like it's our last. This way every show is important and always explosive! When we're off the stage, we like to have fun & don't really take ourselves too seriously; but when it's game time, we're all professional & take our music very seriously." ~ Fuller
READ WHAT THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IS SAYING ABOUT PDP:
Pistol Day Parade is one of the most entertaining and marketable bands to come out of Detroit in decades. Their "She Wants More" demo is a non-stop song after song money machine that begs for a clear headed record exec to grab onto this train and ride it to the bank. ~ (Detroit Live Magazine) Darian Counts/Editor & Chief
Simply put, the best unsigned band in America Today. This band has absolutely everything it takes to be a world force! They will be touring the world with the likes of Nickelback by next summer. The singer Fuller is amazing, one of the best voices to come out of rock and roll in years. The musicianship is top shelf and guess what, these boy’s bring it even better live. The guitar players are absolutely balls out great! Stripped down real tone and gripping hooks from Rob Banks and the mechanic Guido will be inspiring young upstart’s for years to come. Mark my words, these guys from the Motorcity are it! ~ (Last.fm)
“While blending their music in a completely original fashion, (PDP) is constantly creating a style all their own.” That’s exactly what I thought when I listened to their music. completely & utterly original, yet somehow a lil’ bit familiar. The cutting edge social commentary of Nickelback (or Metallica reinterpreting Bob Seger), the racy language of Puddle of Mudd, the obnoxious pseudo-angst & acoustic versatility of Days of the New, the painfully muddy clean guitars of Staind & 3 Doors Down… this is a one stop shop! What is Silent Majority Group waiting on!? Pull the trigger already! ~ Jon Cole (KingsOfAR.com)
When I read the name Pistol Day Parade im not gonna lie, I was expecing some sort of crappy emo band, I thought about breaking out my razor blades before I hit the play button. Damn was I wrong, these guys are pretty much phenomenal. ~ Miak?/Editor & Chief (iammiak.com)
Truly a CAN'T MISS; they exude pure talent. A true gem for this crew was the addition of bassist, Jason Lollio. The combination of Jason on bass, Guido Johnson on lead guitar and the versatile twosome of Randy Watson & Rob Banks on drums and rhythm guitar, truly brought out the genius of vocalist, Fuller. Through line-up changes, drama and heartbreak, these guys have found a mix that will one day see them playing worldwide. ~ "Tiny" Tim Cook (Detroit Radio Personality)
With their hook filled lyrics, and guitar driven rock sound, Pistol Day Parade is ready for the mainstream. If their two consecutive months at 1 on our Unsigned Top 10 chart is any idication, this band is ready to explode. ~ Chad Durkee (AlternativeAddiction.com)
Pistol Day Parade is a great, and pure example of what makes this Detroit Rock City. They bring an energy and performance to any venue, be it your favorite bar, club, festival or the CD deck in your car, that can be matched by few... on the local and national circuit. Pistol Day Parade, coming to a stadium near you! ~ Al "Slayer" Beck (101.1 FM WRIF)
